Chapter 23: finding work

Jeffs pov
I walked into the mansion and saw Ben and Sally playing a video game. Sally came to the door and hugged me.
"Where is Janie?", Sally asked.
I picked up Sally.
"Sally, Janie doesn't remember me.", I said.
Sally looked up at me with sad eyes.
"Will she remember you again?", she asked.
"I don't know, Sally.", I said.
"Does she remember the rest of us?", she asked.
"I honestly don't know.", I said.
Slender and his proxies came into the living room.
"Welcome back. Where's Jane?", slender said.
"She's at our cottage. She has no memory of me. So I hope her seeing us together, she'll remember.", I said.
"We can hope. Well, while she is recovering her memory, you can get a job.", slender said.
"Where, old man?", I asked.
"Any where you can learn to be more responsible and care about someone but yourself.", he said.
"I have to go to the human world, right?", I said.
"Yes.", he said
Sally pulled on my sleeve.
"Sally, you can't come to the human world with me.", i said.
"When you get back, can we go visit Janie?", she asked.
I put Sally down then padded her head.
"Sure.", I said.
Slender teleported me to the human world. I decided to go to eight places to see if they were hiring. Only three were. Burger king, Freddy's pizzeria, and a day care. I start my job at Freddy's tonight. The manager went through all the rules, what I was doing.
"Okay, Mr.Woods. This is your office for tonight. Make sure if any animatronics don't come into the office.", the manager said.
"Why?", I asked.
"They wonder the halls. There is a rumor that the animatronics kills you by stuffing you into an empty suit.", he said.
"I'll make sure they won't stuff me into any suit.", I said.
"Good luck, Mr.Woods. I'll come get you at six.", he said.
My boss left and locked the front and back doors. So all I have to do is make sure that no one gets me, that should be easy. I checked the camera every once in a while. The fox and the chicken were the only once to come out. The chicken was just making a mess in the kitchen. The fox almost came into the office but I closed the door before it could come in. Haha. After four, I started to get tired. I forgot to check the areas around me. Thank god that chicken made such a loud noise in the kitchen that I sprung up. I got back to making sure no one got me. This night is so long. At six, my boss came to let me out.
"How was your first night, Mr.Woods?", he asked.
"I'm still alive. The animatronics don't scare me.", I said.
"See you tonight, Mr.Woods.", he said.
"You can call me Jeff.", I said.
"Alright, Jeff. Go home and get some rest.", he said.
I found a cheap motel then went to sleep as soon as I hit the bed.
