A month forward • Morning
It's now the last semester of this year. Damn, time goes fast. And It's funny how exams are right around the corner.
I reviewed the exam sheets to see what the students will need to know to pass my class.
"Teacher." Sora enters the class before anyone else. "Well good morning! How are you?"
He shrugs. "I'm aight." It seems he's in a odd mood today. "Just alright? You look a little...gloomy today."
"Yeah," he chuckles. "My minds been clumped up with so much shīt. I'm stressed the hell out."
I scoot towards my desk. "Is it because of exams? How are things going with your studying?"
"I'm not stressing over exams," he denied. It's about something else...it's-"
He cuts his sentence off because he notices students coming into class. "I'll tell you later."
That's strange. If exams aren't stressing him out, then what is?
Lunch break
"Please don't slack off too much. Get as much rest as possible!"
The students left for lunch, leaving me with Sora alone. He rested his head and arms on his desk.
I closed the door and sat in the desk next to him. "Are you awake, Sora?"
"Yep, kinda wish I wasn't." Okay, what's ever bothering him must be extremely serious in order for him to say that.
"Hey," I moved his hood away from his eyes. "I don't want to hear you saying those words ever. You hear me?" He lowered his eyes. "Mhm."
"Tell me what's going on. What's making you feel this way?" He sits up and leans back in his chair. "Just feeling things."
"Things. Like what kind of things?" He sighs. "You know summer is coming and I'm graduating soon, but I don't want that."
"You're not happy about graduation? But I thought you'd be excited about that."
"I am, but...where are you gonna be after I'm gone?" I didn't really think about that.
I crossed my arms and think. "I'll be here, teaching class like I've always been doing. Why?"
He sighs again. "Have you ever wanted something...but you know you can't have it because it's wrong?"
"Sometimes," I answered honestly. "Is there something you want but can't have?"
"Kinda," he said. "I know we keep things a secret and we fùck all the time, but what do you think of me?"
"Well you are a good student," I stated. "You can be mean and reckless sometimes, but overall, you're great."
"Well yeah, but..." he paused to exhale. "Do you only see me as a student and nothing else?"
Woah, where is this coming from? "What do you mean by nothing else? Evaluate for me."
"Like...do you ever see me as...being more than your fücktoy?" I hesitated. "You mean like...dating?"
He shook his head sheepishly. "So...do you?" Is he actually being serious?
"You know I can't answer that, Sora. We can always have private tutoring, but we can't go further than that."
He chuckles. "So it's true. I'm just a regular student to you."
"You're not just a regular student to me." He began to feel frustrated. "Then what am I to you, teacher?"
I start stuttering. "Where is this coming from? Wh-why are you demanding these answers from me?"
"Because I fùcking love you," he snapped. Both of us paused. "Fùck..." He pulls his hood over his face.
"Do you actually feel this way? You don't really sound like you're joking..."
"Because...I'm not." I waited for him to laugh, and...he's not laughing. "Sora-"
"I know, it's wrong. I shouldn't be catching feelings for a teacher. At first, I just wanted to fùck, but I've been feeling more than that."
I'm so alarmed that I forget to respond. "Don't worry. It's okay to feel this way."
"No it's not," he says. "I can't stop feeling this way. I...fùck, just forget I said anything." He gets up and gathered his stuff.
I stood up. "Sora, wait-"
"It's too embarrassing right now. I need to go." He leaves the classroom.
Sora loves me. It's cute, but judging by the way he's acting, he's serious about it. How my going to tell him?
