Chapter-3 What In The World Is She?

I woke up and rushed towards the door but I guess I was too late. John already had opened the door. Something shined in the darkness, it was a knife! Someone had put a knife across John's neck. I lost it when the person said," you little brat you're gonna die today." I quickly jumped on him grabbed the knife and cleanly cut that woman's throat. I thought it was the end of all problems of the day until I saw them.

There was a group of people standing outside the house with melee weapons. I was terrified for a moment, how I'm gonna fight these many armed people? No, I have to save John at all costs. I slashed two men with the knife in my hand but one man screamed. I stabbed the knife in his neck and said," don't scream or else you'd wake ahjumma up."

A woman grabbed me from behind when I was distracted. I thought today was my last day until I heard her voice. She said," leave her or else you'll leave dead." She removed a sword and chopped her head off and said," Veronica, are you okay?" John fainted watching her other side. I was also stunned for a moment. Until I regained my conscience, she already had slashed and shredded them in pieces.

What in the world is she? I thought she was a calm woman and John took after her. I asked her," ahjumma, you can fight and kill people? I thought you were a very cool minded person and would never harm anyone." She gave a big smile as usual and said," oh dear, I'm always cool minded but when my loved ones are in danger I can shred everyone apart. If you don't believe it, ask your dad."

I was a bit startled for a moment and said," what my dad?" She replied, "yeah, once your dad got beaten up by me, thank God your mom stepped in or else your dad would have been in danger. I guess you take after your mom because you're much stronger than Vernon but you lack focus."

My mouth was wide open, I asked her," ahjumma! can you help me become better?" John spoke after regaining consciousness," what did I see a moment ago? Veronica, please tell me it's a dream." I calmly explained to him the whole scene.

He said," wait, so you know Veronica's dad and even beat him? Mom, why do you make things complicated for me? You don't know how he glares at me because his daughter likes me. When he knows I'm your son I don't know what will happen." She said," hey don't be a crybaby."

I interrupted them and said," ahjumma, you said you know my mom, do you have any idea how she was? I've never seen my mom not even once. I asked my dad several but he didn't answer me. Please tell me who was my mom and what kind of person she was? Where is she? Is she alive or dead?........."
