Chapter-16 Is It A Tracker Or Recorder?

May said," nothing much, just wait and watch." We went to the address that Arnold sent us and it was a bar! We went into the bar and sat behind their table to eavesdrop. Pearl said," why are you not drinking? Please, can't you be my drinking buddy for today at least? You know, I'm mentally disturbed after what happened today and I apologise on my mom's behalf." Arnold said," it's fine, I'll drink with you but not too much. We'll just drink in limit."

They ordered drinks and started drinking. They continuously kept drinking and Arnold passed out. When he was out Pearl removed something from her purse and stuck it on Arnold's shoes. We both were watching what she was doing. It must be a tracker and or a recorder. So I guess we should plan something outta it. I got out of the bar with May and called Arnold.

Pearl answered and said," Arnold
Passed out, he's a lightweight." I told her," Hey, can you give me the address I'll come to pick him up." She gave me the address and hung up. We waited for 5 minutes and went inside the bar and picked him up. Ugh, why is he so heavy? He looks pretty skinny that even wind can carry him away so what happened to him now. There's something on his face too and it's awful.

We tucked him into bed and checked his shoes and it wasn't a tracker or recorder! It was a cute sticker stating I love you. When I checked his face, it had a heart sticker on it. I didn't know that Pearl was into cute things. May said," Veronica, go out I have to check something." I came out and after 4 minutes, May came out with a handful of stickers. Pearl must have decorated him with stickers.

I said," May, I guess Pearl likes Arnold more than you like him." May glared at me with complete silence. I said," Hey, calm down I was just kidding." May said," you better be or I'll stitch that mouth of yours." I went to the room which May and I shared and took a second look at the stickers. (I love those stickers, maybe I should get some for John too.)

The next day when Arnold woke up he was still hungover. May made soup for him and he drank it in one sip and said," thanks May, it was tasty." I took a bit of it and it tasted awful. They say people can forget everything once they're in love. I think it's the case with Arnold. Arnold got a call from Pearl and he said," May let's go for a date today. I think Pearl isn't free today."

May's face got bright and she was super excited and said," let's go for a double date, would you join us with John?" I replied," yes." May instantly said," before that, we have a task to do." I asked," what task?" May said," we have to find our parents and should send them to a safe place because none of them fights well. So, I guess they shouldn't stay here."

I asked," where are they? Have you got any information from Pearl?" Arnold said," yes, I heard from Pearl that your mother owns a farmhouse not far away from here but she regularly pays a visit there, no matter how busy she is." I said," let's go, we have to be quick." When we reached there and started searching, we saw something unexpected. May was so shocked and furious.
