Kachi umar ke rishte (Up For Adoption)

Chapter 10

Lady : are Himmat bhaiya Shanti bhabhi aaiye na.

Himmat : aaj hum akele nahi aaye hai kuch logo ko apne saath leke aaye hai.

They move aside and the Lady saw Samaina and the kids. She was having happy tears, she was about touch sameer when they heard a manly voice.

Man : are Bela kon aaya hai?

They lady was non-other tham Bela Maheshwari and the man was Anand Maheshwari.

Bela : vo Himmat bhaiya aur Shanti bhabhi aaye hai...

Anand smile, she add more.

Bela : saath mein Sameer, Naina, Munna, Pandit, Swati, Preeti bhi aaye hai.

Tears made their way in Anand's eyes as well.

Shanti : ab kya humein bhara hi khada karoge kya?

Anand :(smiling) aaiye na andar.

Bela : nahi rukiye!

Anand : kya hua bela?

Bela : 2 min rukiye main abhi aai.

Saying so she went towards kitchen and return with aarti ki thali.

Bela :(smiling) aaj pehli baar bache humare ghar aaye hai aise hi thodi andar aane dungi bina aarti ke.

She come and infront of the door and put tilak on their forehead and perform the ritual. meanwhile all this thing the six stood there confuse. Thinking 'who were this people?' 'why they are so happy about their arrival?' and the thing is 'how they know their names?'

Bela : (moving aside) ab aap log andar aaiye.

All come inside and six of them touch Anand and Bela's feet. They both whole heartedly blessed them. Looking at their confused faces Himmat come forward and introduce them.

Himmat : Sameer yeh tum logo ke Anand chachaji hai matlab Vivek ka chota bhai. Aur yeh unki patni yahi tum logo ki chachiji hai Bela.

All were stunned about the new discovered information. They have not seen aur heard about Anand and Bela from the elders.

Pandit : par agar yeh papa ke chote bhai hai toh yeh humare saath kyu nahi rehte.

Anand: kyuki main yaha ka kaam dekhta hu. Aur gaon aane ka samay hi nahi milta mujhe vaha aane ka.

Munna : par kabhi kabhi toh aa sakte the na aap log ?

Anand : ab yeh sab chodo aur yeh batao ki Rakesh aur Vivek bhaiya aur Vishakha aur Rama bhabhi kaha hai?

Bela : bhaiya bhabhi nahi aaye tum logo ke saath.

Listening to this their eyes filled with fresh tears. Sameer just hugged
Anand. he felt the same warmth from Anand as he use to get when he hugged
Vivek. He tighten is girp around him and started crying in his embrance. Anand got confused and tensed. He try move away from Sameer to see his face but he kept holding him tight.

Anand : (tensed) yeh kya Sameer tum ro kyu rahe ho?

Sameer don't say anything and stay in the same position. He look at others and then at Bela, she was also confused and others were trying haerd to hide their tear.

Anand : kya hua hai koi mujhe bataye ga. (to Himmat) bhaiya aap toh bataiye kya hua hai? Sameer aise ro kyu raha hai?

Himmat don't say anything.

Anand : bhabhi aap toh bataiye ki hua kya hai? sab thik toh haina?

Shanti look at himmat and he nodded as he was not having the courage to tell the truth to Anand, that  his big brother and sister-in-law are no more in this world. She took deep breadth and started
speaking.

Shanti : (trying to control her cry) kuch thik nahi hai Anand, aaj sab barbaad ho gaya.

Anand : (tensed) aisa kya hua hai bhabhi?

Shanti : vo hu ki.......(and she told the whole story from the temple encounter and their meeting kids in bus end up coming here)

Bela keep her hand no her mouth to prevent crying louldly and Anand felt ground slipt under his feet. Shock will be understatement for him

Anand : (hyerply) yeh.... yeh kya bol rahi hai aap bhabhi aisa kaise ho sakta hai! yeh..... yeh jhooth hai aisa ho hi nahi sakta... Aap log jhut bol rahe hai.

Sameer : (sobbing) chachaji.. yeh sach hai..

Anand lost his balance and was about fall but Bela and Sameer hold him. He brust out crying. He just hugged Bela and cried in her embrance Himmat come forward and make Anand stand.

Himmat : Anand sambhalo khud ko aise rone se na hi Vivek laut kar aayega na hi baki log.

Anand : (crying senselessly)  rou nhi toh kya karu Himmat bhaiya ek aakhri baar main apne bhaiya aur bhabhi ko dekh bhi nhi paaya.

Himmat : shant hoja Anand shant hoja dekh ab tum dono ko hi toh apne bhaiya bhabhi ki aakhri amanat ko sambhalna hai.

Anand nodded with difficulty and wiped his tears. He went near Samundit and open his arms inviting them for a hug. Samundit come forward and hugged him. Bela went near swapreena.

Bela : (smiling with tears) ab kya tum logo ko bolna padega ya khud aa jaoge!

She too open her arms swapreena hug her as tight as possible and started crying. 

(Note:- anju is with Shanti.)

Anand : ab hum khayal rakhege apne bacho ka.

They all apart from each other after some time.

Bela : chalo ab bahut ho gaya rona dhona, jo hua wo humare jaatg mein nahi tha. Ab bacho tum log haath muh dholo main khana lagati hum. Bhook
lagi hogi na!

Samaina : nahi hum log khana nahi kha sakte.

Bela : kyu beta ? kya hua?

Naina : gaon mein pratha (ritual)  hai ki jab tab mare hue insaan ka antim sanskar nahi ho jata tab tak unke
ghar wale kuch nahi kha sakte aisa maa ne bola tha.

Bela : par beta tum log thak gaye hoge tum logo ko khana kha lena chahiye.

Naina : nahi chachiji please.

Bela : beta apne liye toh nahi par Swati, Preeti, Munna aur Pandit ke baare mein toh socho. Wo log abhi bache hai. Pehle hi unhe itna bada sadma laga gaya aur ab khana bhi nahi khayege toh bimaar padh jayege aur Anju toh unse bhi choti hai usse bhi toh tum logo ko hi sambhalana haina. Unke liye toh khalo kyuki agr tum dono nahi khaoge toh vo log bhi nahi khayege.

Shanti also agree with Bela and said Samaina to go and freashen up along with the kids. They both reculently agree to eat just for the sake of Swapree and Mundit. Naina took Anju with her too make her sleep. Bela show them the room and washroom. The four elders sat down on the sofa.

Anand : bhaiya yeh sab kaise ho gaya. Aapko kya lagat hai ki, yeh sab kisne kiya hai.

Himmat : pakka toh nahi pata par shayad yeh sab Suresh ne kiya hai.

Anand : kya Suresh par vo toh bhaya ke sab se vishwasi logo mein se tha.

Himmat : vo...
