Chapter 8: One Night In A Strange City

"Oh, it's late. Let me take you home." Taehyung said as he stood up and was preparing to leave.

"Nah, that's okay. I can go home by myself." I responded with a sigh of relief. I was a bit happy as he was sincere to me and offered to take me home.

"It's already dark outside. It's not safe I guess."

"It's alright. Korea is a safe place so don't worry much."

"What if you meet a drunk psycho pervert."

"I won't"

"But still.."

"Okay, okay, you won," I accepted his offer as he was worrying and overthinking about the situation.

"Let's go" he said after grabbing one of my hands. But he let go of my hand a couple of moments later.

The sky was pretty clear that day. I could see the beautiful crescent moon with a lot of stars twinkling around.

A cold autumn breeze touched my skin as I was admiring the beauty of that day's night sky.

"Isn't the sky pretty today?" I said with a little smile on my face.

"Yeah, it is. There is a lot more unseen beauty in this world. One of them is me." He said with a smirk on his face.

"Haha, nice joke. If you're the unseen beauty then I am the most alluring beauty, lol." I responded with a bit of teasing.

"hehe. Do you think girls enjoy writing these kind of stuff as a love confession?"

"What kind of stuff?"

"You know, flirting stuffs. I receive those letters frequently. They just butter me up every time by writing this same line over and over again."

"Which line? Tell me, I am curious. Make me laugh."

"They just write how perfect my face is. One of them wrote that maybe God spent extra time on me."

"kekekekeke, that's funny So, should I call you God's exceptional creature from now on?"

"Oh please, not you too. Stop it haha."

"Alright alright I was just kidding with you. You like it, right?" I asked again in a teasing tone. But he didn't protest. So I said again without stopping,"You like it! Taehyung likes it when people praise his good looks! Taehyung likes it!!"  

"Okay, okay, go inside now," He said as we reached my home safely.

 We waved our hands at each other and said our goodbyes. He left a few moment later. It was past 7 o'clock at that time. He looked upset again while leaving.
