MGK's song 'Spotlight' is playing whilst I lay in bed staring at the ceiling trying to sleep. The chorus hits with a beautiful drop and my world suddenly turns. Lzzy Hale joins and suddenly it's like the world is on fire.
Then I realise what the song is about, the lowest you could be from life, inner demons eating you alive, angels trying to fight for your life before you make that fatal decision. The song fades out and a tear drops onto my cheek.
Heartbreaking.
