i also cut the winners of the obstacle race in two bc im not good enough to write everyone

izuku mentally died, out of all things he wasnt expecting a mine field, but hopefully it wasnt real mines. 

midoriya finally got to the mine field, about 10 people taking their time ahead of him. he looked at people who had accidentally stepped on the mines, not real mines..he noted in his head, digging the ground with his shield, people looked at him weirdly but continued to slowly walk across the mines. 

he dug up at least 25 'mines' and picked one up on its side. he examined the mine carefully, he had seen they were stunts, he carefully put it back and held tight on his shield putting it in front of his chest.

hoping he had enough momentum, izuku placed the iron shield on top of the mines setting them all off, he flew across the sky like a slip n slide and saw ahead of him.

todoroki and kacchan fighting? he thought to himself, the two were hitting and landing blows at each other while running across the mines, not stepping on a single one. deku flew past the two and they looked above them to see deku gaining lead.

they stopped fighting and focused to beat deku, after making it out of the mine field deku retracted his shield and grapple hooked the wall to try and keep his lead. todoroki using his ice as a slide he made it past midoriya and bakugo getting 1st place. 

midoriya got second and bakugo got third.

the 21 people gathered beneath midnight as she rolled for the next game.

"and the next game..is cavalry battle!! participants will form teams with a maximum of 4 people and then get in a horse configuration. the objective is to earn points by swiping other teams' headbands while protecting your own. the value of your team's headband would be the sum of the points each person on the team received based on their performance in the previous competition. the person who ranked last would be worth 5 points, and each rank above that would be worth 5 more points than the previous one, with the exception of 1st place, which was worth 10 million points.

the one to wear the headband must be the rider, and you are not allowed to wear it below you neck. if the team loses their headband or crumble as a horse configuration, you would still not be eliminated. participants are allowed to use their quirks, but, should they attack with the malicious intention of harming another participant, you will be forced out of the game!

i'll give you all 10 minutes to form a group." midnight explained.

everyone was stunned at first place, 10 million points! if todoroki's team held onto that it would be enough to pass and not let anyone get it, but quickly, they all realized they would be targeted, so they backed off asking todoroki to be partners with them. todoroki realized this too and tried formulating a plan, until..

"todoroki-san, would you like to partner up?" yaoyorozu asks, her hands behind her back. "really? i thought no one would want to." todoroki comments bluntly. 

"yes! i think we would make a strong team..we just need others, im sure i can encourage them!" momo beams, todoroki nods his head unfazed. they look around but people seem to be ignoring them both. 

who can this quirk enhancer work better on..no way am i going with kacchan so i might as well go with the todoroki kid. izuku mutters to himself, walking up to todoroki and yaoyorozu.

"i'd like to join your team." deku says, the two look at him, "who are you?" 

EH- this went worse than expected...izuku thought to himself, a grim face he held. "u-uh im izuku midoriya..from the general and support course, long story..uhm im actually quirkless but i can use my support gadgets to help." deku stuttered getting everything he had.

"ah..quirkless? well..todoroki-san we could use support gear to protect our headband more right?-" momo said in a slightly worried tone, a quirkless kid..although before she could finish someone had butted into their conversation. 

"I would like to join you, todoroki, yaoyorozu and.." iida slowly glances at midoriya, which he finishes for the blue haired boy. "-izuku midoriya. general and support course, long story."

"mhm. it would be a pleasure to join you." iida bows, todoroki accepts him and now its up to their decision to let midoriya in. "what gear exactly do you have midoriya-san? you seem to have a tool belt on you and a couple things in it, you seem to have less than that hatsume girl." momo points out.

"a-ah! i forgot! here sit down for a bit, i'll show you while we sit down, i really dont want other teams seeing it." izuku flushes putting his hands up in realization. the three comply even being a little sketchy about how a quirkless kid got into ua.

"they let support students use the gadgets they made themselves, and i think one of the things here will help us a lot.." midoriya mumbles, getting every little trinket out of the pouch on the side of his belt.

there was,

the pop out boots, immune to almost everything. it could fly as the soles were made out of jets.

extendable shield, it can be extended to a wall size. the only thing that can break it is lasers.

electro-protect bullet blankets and a gun to shoot them out, electricity cant pass through them and they float in the air for 30 seconds, any longer and they begin to fall, the gun can hold 5 bullets and has a compartment for another 5, 10 in total. 

earphone mufflers, it can muffle even the highest frequencies.

glitter bombs, if thrown at a person or object they explode almost instantly, but only release glitter, no blasts.

foldable pruning sheers, midoriya just made these incase they went against shiozaki as he knew she would pass.

gloves with extendable killer spikes, they can go through anything.

"and lastly..the quirk enhancer." izuku mumbles, enough for them to hear. "a quirk enhancer? i'm sorry midoriya but that seems close to impossible! no one has ever made a quirk enhancer before and i doubt a general course student would be able to manufacture one." iida remarks harshly. 

"iida, dont be rude. lets try, okay? as heroes we should never judge anyone." momo places her hand on her chest and closes her eyes briefly. "right. i'm sorry for my former actions midoriya. i wasnt thinking straight.." iida apologizes and midoriya just nods his head.

"one more thing.." deku rubs his chin with his index finger. "um theres this kid, shinso, he has purple hair and eyebags, if he asks you a question during the competition dont answer okay? he has a brainwashing quirk." iida, momo, and todoroki look at each other and nod.
