"next for our matchup, in the left, kirishima eijiro! his quirk? hardening! he can make his body as hard as rock, so he could be a great shield or a deadly weapon!" present mic introduces kirishima, "and in the right! tokoyami fumikage! his quirk? dark shadow! he can manifest a sentient shadow monster from his body that he can materialize and contract freely! a two in one!"
present mic's voice fades as the crowd starts to cheer. "our quirks are both limited in these circumstances, its a battle of time, i wish you good luck kirishima." tokoyami takes his bow.
"uh- ..good luck to you too man!" kirishima hits his fists together, hardening them in the process.
midnight's "GO!" quickly made tokoyami summon dark shadow, and in a swift movement dark shadow went to attack kirishima head on. "here we go!" kirishima smiled hardening his body and barely moving backwards.
dark shadow let out a distorted "aaAAaÄaäæ" and aiming again, but in a failed attempt as kirishima's quirk kept him safe. grinning a bit more, kirishima charged at tokoyami.
tokoyami took notice of this and ran, kirishima still on his tail battling dark shadow. seeing that kirishima really cant get even near dark shadow's host, he decides to go head first into battle with him.
not a very smart move. this is probably where tokoyami's win was guarantied.
"if i cant get to the host..then i'll take down the thing protecting him!" kirishima yelled out, battling punches and punches with dark shadow.
"that was your faulted mistake, kirishima." tokoyami sighed, but didnt take his focus away from the red head and dark shadow.
tokoyami decided to use a little more of his power to make dark shadow stronger, and soon, kirishima couldnt keep up. dark shadow quickly pushed him out of the ring and ensured their paired victory.
dark shadow quickly retreated back to tokoyami and gave him a thumbs up "we did it fumikage!"
tokoyami glances at kirishima's defeated face and bows to no one in particular, just courtesy of winning.
"and tokoyami wins! he will be the one to advance." midnight says, and tokoyami walks off the podium, so does kirishima.
"..indeed we did, dark shadow. now rest yourself for a while, we used up a lot of energy back there."

"hey guys! did i miss anything?" midoriya waves to hatsume and shinso, sitting in their seats.
'i guess they didnt mind hatsume in the general course area' midoriya thinks to himself.
"a lot-- hey isnt your matchup next?" shinso asks, looking back at midoriya. "well i left when mei's round ended, how many have went?" midoriya replies. "about 2 other randos!" mei chimes in.
"well i'm the f-" midoriya realizes his match is in a minute. "crap! bye!" the greenette runs away in a dash. "off he goes again.." shinso mumbles, actually deciding to watch the match. "he never stops does he?" mei laughs.
"anyways! check out my new baby! i went around taking people's unwanted things." the pink haired girl grins to herself. "h- WAIT THATS THEFT-" shinso freaks, loosing his cool for 2.45 seconds.
mei just sticks her tongue out and smiles. "really?"
