"If you wanted to come to my room so bad, all you had to do was ask, diletto." The handsome Greek man said as he opened the door, flashing me a smirk.
"Hello to you, Darius." I said and put my hand forward.
Instead of taking it, he bought it to his lips and placed a feather-light kiss on my knuckles.
He let his lips linger on my skin a few seconds longer than needed before letting it go.
"You look fresh, I assume your flight was a comfortable one." He said as he opened his door wider, gesturing me to come inside the room.
I left my bag on the door and walked further inside.
The room was quite pretty, spacious and comfortable. It was modern in design and was well worth the price we've set for it.
"I hope you liked the room, yours and all the suites in the hotel are going to be a replica of this." Darius said as he walked to the study table in the corner and closed his files.
"It's really good. Courtney did a great job." I said as I took a seat on the couch. He packed his things and walked towards me.
He took a seat adjacent to mine and offered me a glass of water that he earlier poured for me.
"Congratulate her on my behalf. For this amazing hotel and also for the baby Stalin." He said and I smiled at him.
"Thanks and sure, I'll convey the message." I said and took a sip from the glass.
"By the way, your room is opposite to mine." He said.
"Yeah, I figured. It's just that the receptionist said left but since she was standing in front of me, I assumed she meant my left." I explained, keeping the glass of water on the table. Actually, I kept the glass on the coaster which was neatly sitting on the table.
I looked at it for a second and then looked at Darius, giving him a teasing smile.
"What? I don't like the water-rings." He said as he shrugged his shoulders.
"Okay, Monica Geller." I said referring to my second favourite F.R.I.E.N.D.S character.
Chandler Bing will always be my favourite.
"Who?" He asked as his eyebrows furrowed and I can't help but notice how it added to his hotness.
It's October here currently which is a moderate month but today is a rather hot day. He's wearing a pair of plain blue jeans and a simple dark blue shirt. He had his sleeves rolled up to his elbows and the top two buttons of his shirt were undone, giving me a peak at his tan skin and muscular chest. The shirt was hugging his biceps, perfectly.
"Take a picture, diletto. They last longer." He said with a smirk.
"No... I... was just wondering how have you not seen the best sitcom ever created?" I asked, looking him in the eyes.
"Sure you were." He said with a smirk.
"Seriously! What do you do on your weekends or when friends come to visit?" I asked.
"I work on my weekends." He curtly answered.
"Nooo...." I gasped just like Rachel Green does.
"Well, Sara, I don't have any cousins except for Elias so I don't waste a perfectly alright day sitting in front of a TV screen." He says and I nodded my head.
"You have cousins, right? The infamous CERCHIO INTERNO." He said, with curious eyes.
"Yeah. Well, all of them aren't my cousins. Just the Knights, they're my second cousins." I informed.
"What about the rest of them?" He questioned.
"The Stalins and the Knights are first cousins and they all are adoptive cousins of the Jordans. Emma Jordan is an adoptive sister of Evan Stalin and Anna Knight." I informed.
"So what's a typical Sunday for y'all?" He asked.
"We're all busy individuals but almost always have dinner together. Anyone of us is hosting. Sundays are pretty low-key. All we do is enjoy a movie at home or visit the park or hit the club in the evening. We make sure we spend time with each other. If there's anything our parents have taught us, is that-la famiglia è potere; Family is Power." I replied.
"That's great." He shortly asked but there was a foreign feeling in his voice. Was it... longing?
No, no. I must be mistaken. The head of Greek Mafia is anything but alone. He has everything-money, power, fame, girls, looks. Everything. What would he ever long for?
Darius' phone rang and I broke out of my trance.
"Excuse me, I need to take this." He said and I nodded.
"I'll take your leave then." I said, standing up from the couch.
"See you around." He said and I nodded my head, again.
"Bye, Darius." I said and walked out of his room.
