Sara Woodwords
16 months later...
"You're fully packed?" Ma questioned.
"Yes, Ma. Stop worrying." My mother's half-Indian and she'd rather I and Jason call her 'Ma', which is what you call your mom if you're Indian, instead of 'Mom'.
"I can't believe you're going away for two months." Ma said as she hugged me.
"I'll be back before you know it." I said, hugging her back.
"Still." She said and kissed my cheek, pulling away.
"Come on, Ma. Jason stays abroad for months for his movie shoots and promotions. Dad and you are fine with that. Why's it different for me?" I reasoned.
"That's different. It's a secret between us, don't tell you're brother or father but I am the one who loves you the most in this family." She said and I smiled.
"Untrue." Dad said as he entered my room.
"It's me who loves you the most." He said and gave me a hug.
"Unfortunately, I love you both equally." I said and hugged them both. They both returned my hug and kissed my head simultaneously.
"Come on, my little RaRa, it's time to leave." Dad said calling me with the nickname he has for me. He rarely calls me that but it always makes me feel special.
"Yes, Dad." I replied.
Since it's a 10 hours long flight from NY to Budapest, I decided on wearing something comfortable. A pair of mom jeans with a blue-white stripped top.
I'm taking our private jet to Budapest. It's going to be a lot more comfortable that way.
"Bye, Ma and Dad. I'll miss you." I said as I hugged them again.
"Call me as often as you could." Ma said and I nodded my head.
"Will do. Bye." I said as I sat in the car.
"Bye." They replied and I closed the door. I usually like to drive my own car but I'm taking a driver today since I'll be needing someone to bring my baby Bugatti back home safely.
.
.
.
"Welcome to Budapest, Ms. Woodwords. " The pilot wished me and I thanked him.
I took my handbag and walked outside the jet once the doors opened. A car was already waiting for me. A man took both my bags and loaded it into the trunk of the car.
Since I'll be staying here for 2 months, I'll be needing a lot of things. So 2 bags were absolutely necessary.
The car's driver opened the door for me and I sat in. We silently drove to the hotel.
The hotel that's being made under our collaboration is named, Três Amigos, which means 'Three Friends' in Portuguese. It has 3 wings out of which Wing 'A' and 'B' are already complete and ready to use.
Although we've not opened the hotel to public yet, we still can use it.
I'll be staying in the Wing 'A' along with my staff who'll be landing here shortly.
Courtney has already been here a couple of times already but couldn't join me here for the interview next month since she's pregnant and is on her 8th month.
She has already emailed me pretty much everything and since only Wing 'C' is incomplete, her assistant will look after it.
Hotel's a 40 minutes ride from the airport which I though was a bit unattractive but when I first laid my eyes on the hotel's exterior, I was stunned.
It looked so luxurious and beautiful.
I walked further in and the interiors were even better. The place was a bit of a mess considering it's still under construction but it's nevertheless, magnificent.
Courtney is one of the most talented interior designers out there but this time she has surprised me. She's done a fabulous job here.
I've had my fair share of travels and have stayed in some of the most prestige hotel around the world but this one is easily one of the best in terms of interiors and ambiance.
"Welcome to Três Amigos, ma'am." The guard said as he pointed me to a woman who was waiting for me, the receptionist.
"Ms. Woodwords, Welcome, your suite is ready. This way please." She said as she led me to the staircase.
"The lift is yet to be fixed so sorry for the inconvenience." She said as we arrived on the second floor of the wing.
"Ma'am, there's been a problem." A man came from behind and called the woman beside me.
"I'll be there." She said and continued walking towards the room.
"You, go. I'll be fine." I said. She turned and stood in front of me. She hesitated at first but handed me the card anyways.
"The first room on left." She said and I nodded. She left with the man and I continued walking ahead.
Reaching my room, I tried scanning the card but the door didn't open. I heard some shuffling from the inside and assumed that must be the hotel staff.
I softly knocked on the door but got no response. I furrowed my brows at that but knocked again, this time a bit loudly.
I heard footsteps and shortly, the door swinged open. I looked up at the person who opened it but did not expect him to be standing there.
"If you wanted to come to my room so bad, all you had to do was ask, diletto."
