Darius Ariti
"Let's eat?" I said as I broke the hug.
"Yeah." She said and we walked towards our table.
I waved at the person who's the manger of the restaurant. The waiters bought out the plates of food with two glasses and white wine. Sara loves white wine.
How do I know? I called Jasmine.
I made Chicken Lasagna and Affogato.
Sara took some of the Lasagna and put it in her mouth. She closed her eyes and savoured it's taste.
"This is amazing. The chef did a great job." She complimented.
"Why thank you, diletto." I said and she gave me a surprised look.
"You cooked it?" She asked and I nodded.
"You know how you say you like it when your brothers cook for all of you. I thought why not give it a try." I said, shrugging my shoulders.
"Thank you." She said as she held my hand and bought it to her mouth, kissing it.
We commenced our dinner, talking about different things.
"You've grown up in Greece right?" She asked.
"Yeah. Beautiful country."
"I'd love to go there someday." She dreamily said.
"This affogato is yum." Sara remarked as she put some of it in her mouth.
"I'm glad you liked the food tonight." I said as I sipped my wine.
After we finished dinner, she got up from her seat, took her glass of wine and stood by the railing.
"Budapest is truly one of the most beautiful cities I've lived in." She said as I stood next to her.
"Hands down." I agreed with her.
"Thanks Darius. Your company and presence has made this strange city feel like home." She said and to be honest, that touched my heart.
I cupped her face and crashed my lips on her.
This woman right here, has no idea how much she means to me. When I met her, she was a completed strange and now, she somehow successfully makes me feel cared about. She makes me feel like I'm worth something.
"I'm so happy." I stated as I broke the kiss but kept her in my arms.
"Because I said, 'yes'?" She asked with a teasing smile.
"No. Because I cooked a meal and it turned out good." I said as I pressed my lips in a thin line.
She threw her head back and laughed.
Her laughter is so infectious. So beautiful. So full of life.
"No, seriously." She said as she contained her laughter yet continued smiling.
"What do you think? Of course because you said 'yes'. You're officially mine." I said and pecked her lips softly.
"And you're officially mine." She said as she fisted my hair and crashed her lips on mine again but passionately this time.
"Of course." I said when we pulled away.
"When did you plan all of this?" She asked sipping her wine.
"Yesterday. Jasmine and Elias helped me a bit though." I honestly said.
"Jasmine helped? How?" She questioned.
"She told me about what I should make. Elias helped with the arrangement and the cooking." I answered.
"Remind me to thank them both." She said and I nodded.
"I miss New York. I wanna call CERCHIO INTERNO and break this news to them so bad but I can't right now. This is big. I need to tell them face-to-face." She said and looked at the promise ring on her finger.
The ring fucking suits her. As if it's made for her. I did good with it.
"Why'd you select a blue ring?" She asked and I smiled at her.
"Your eyes. It's the shade of your eyes." I replied.
She has gorgeous blue eyes.
"That's the only physical feature I share with my Dad. Otherwise, I'm a copy of my Ma." She said and smiled.
I wonder how's her Dad like? I mean, is he really a hot headed person they say he is. I've only met him a couple of times a few years ago. Both him and I were in business mode back then.
I'm gonna ask for Sara's hand in marriage to him when we reach New York. I need to know how hard I'm gonna have to fight.
I'm immensely in love with Sara and I know for sure she's the one I wanna marry. Not right away but one day.
She comes from a traditional family and I have to get her parents' blessings and approval for the marriage.
"Let's go to the hotel. It's a bit cold here." Sara said as she rubbed her palms against her arms' length.
"Here." I draped my jacket around her and escorted her to the car.
We both drove back to the hotel and just before we walked towards our rooms, we saw a figure trying to open Sara's room door.
Before I could say anything, Sara draped my jacket, that I gave her, over the person's head and started punching his back.
