PART 1

Was I really back home? I don't think so. The way my hand just went through her...

"Ah, so you are finally here. I have to say, the spell took quite long to work."

A black figure came walking towards me from the mist in the entrance. My mom's crying paused and it felt like the time around me paused as well. The black figure had a shape of a man but no face, no skin, just entirely void black.

"The scene you are seeing currently is a possible future, that is, if you don't make it back home on time.", said the figure as stood by my mother.

"Possible future? What do you mean?"

"I'll show you one more thing."

The area around me glitched out and the place was now my middle school. The cherry blossoms were really beautiful and the leaves were waving mid-air. I saw my 6th grade self, holding hands with a red-haired girl and they were laughing as they walked out. Was that, Silvia? I looked around for Alexia but she was nowhere to be seen.

"This, is a possible past. If this happened, then you wouldn't have gotten transported into the world of Thisia. You could've saved that red-haired girl. Now, let's get back to the world we are in, shall we?"

Possible past? I could've saved Silvia? What does he mean? I understood nothing so far.

"What is the meaning of this?", I asked.

"You'll soon understand after you wake up in the world you are in. Not right after you wake up, but on your adventures you shall."

The area glitched out again and it was a city. It was night time and the lights were illuminating the city streets. The figure told me to follow him. He took me to an alleyway. It was a dark alleyway and the figure lit up the area with a finger snap.

"This is a possible future if you don't make the right choices.", he said

Alexia was lying dead on the ground in the alleyway. Her throat was slit and there was blood almost everywhere around her. I was afraid to move at this point. My whole body trembled. If Alexia dies, I can't change anything. Last time we could save Shauna because of Alexia's time control. If she dies, there's no turning back.

The area glitched out again and now we were at a mountain region with a snow storm. I could see myself, facing Alexia who was in front of me. There was a portal behind me and I was saying something to Alexia. She was crying.

The area glitched out yet again but now it was an empty white space. Just me and the void figure.

"One of your friends is going to arrive here soon. I'll be back.", said the figure as he faded away.

I was alone; in the white empty space. After a minute, I saw Shauna appearing beside me.

"Huh? Am I dead? When did I die? Oi you, why didn't you respond to any of my telepathy signals?", said the demon with a poker face.

Huh? She sent me a message? She really did? I guess Silvia blocked off all communications, she is powerful.

"I don't think you died..."

I mean, she's not going to die that easily.

"Wait, who may you be?", said the figure as he appeared right in front of her leaning towards her.

"I am Shauna?", said the demon.

"What's going on?", I said.

"It should have been Alexia-hime-sama* who should have been gotten here. I perhaps might have casted the spell onto the wrong person.", he said.
