Agent 3's POV

As usual, I woke up at the crack of dawn. I wanted to get ready as early as possible for the battle. I'm a strong believer that you can most likely achieve almost anything that comes to your mind if you work hard enough. It's how I stay one of the best players in Inkopolis Square after all.

I then headed to the bathroom for a fresh shower. Once I was out, I grabbed everything that I needed. As I was about to head out of my room, I had a glance at agent 8. He had slept at his side and he this dreamy look on his face. It could be a while before he gets up considering the chaos he caused yesterday. I sighed.

I got out a pen and paper began to write a quick note to 8 and stuck it onto the table. Hopefully, that'll keep him from having to wander around looking for me. Seeing that 8 tends to unintentionally get into trouble, I see no reason why he and Kyle didn't get along. I then crept my way out the door.

A while later, I was at a cafe. I usually come here to have breakfasts, sometimes with my teammates which one of them should be here by now. This team has been through a lot of history together and I'm kind of glad I was a part of it.

Sky has been in the team longer, with me joining soon. I had to do a turf war battle trial with them before having to enter into the team. I'll admit it took me a while to get the hang of it, but the pieces started coming together after a while. One day, our team leader sort of retired. Before he left, the remaining three of us were left to compete for the replacement of a new team leader.

Long story short, I got the role. We then moved on to have lots of great battles together. Unfortunately one of our best team members...had to quit. Our team had to take a bit of a break during that time as we couldn't have done most of our battles without them. After a month or so, we slowly started coming back together again, but we missed a spot.

It didn't take long till we found Clay to fill it in. Since then Clay has been doing well so far even though he's only been here for a couple of weeks. I can tell he's got the guts and skills. I've recently had just decided to add him permanently into the group just last week and he seems more than thrilled to be here.

He was the person whom I was expecting to come the most. Pink and her team were one of our rivals since the beginning, so she has learned a lot through her battles. I'm confident that Clay's got this but I just wanted everything to go smoothly. So the team and I decided we'd have one last meeting to make sure we were all prepped up and ready.

I had just finished eating my breakfast when the chimes of the bells rang, signaling people had come. I turned to see all three members coming in and I couldn't help but stare. They all came into the store as a mess, through stumbling, forgetting which way to go, and just plain nervousness. When everyone finally sat down Plum was the first to speak as she fixes her hair.

"Sorry that we weren't able to come here early, Cyan. The buses weren't available today." "Yeah, so we had to all borrow Sky's bikes just to get here. Not all of us know how to ride a bike though." I nodded my head in understanding. "It's fine guys. We have plenty of time to practice later. What's more important is that we get some breakfast. I already set your orders in." On cue, the waitress of the cafe came in with trays of delicious food in hand.

Clay smiles and sniffed the air in appreciation. "Mmm...smells good." "Had to make the best for our regular morning customers after all!" said the waitress before heading back to the kitchen to get Plum and Sky's. It didn't take long before the clinking of spoons and fork filled the vast silence when I ate alone earlier. They then began to share their own stories as they ate.

"I told Plum we wouldn't need to use her weapons to break down the door. But she was too tired she'd do anything to get to her bed!" Plum grimaced. "I don't think I remembered doing any of that yesterday." Sky held up his phone to show a picture of their now broken door which now has a huge hole in it with ink at its side. Clay burst out laughing at the photo making Plum cover herself in her hoodie in mock shame.
