Thank you to estelleii for coming up with the name 💛
"We'll get married when we grow up, right Doggy?" Y/N asked looking at him while both of them laid down on the grass.
"Of course! I love you," he smiled at her.
"Doggy! Time go home," his mom shouted.
"But, mom! I'm on a date with my girlfriend," he protested.
His mom giggled, and went to pick him up, "You can finish your date tomorrow."
"Oh, I'll see you tomorrow then, Doggy," Y/N said sadly.
"Bye, honey!" he hugged her.
"Honey?" Doggy's mom looked at him surprised.
"Dad calls you that all time!" he argued.
"I never said it was a bad thing..."

Years later
"So, this is Rash's home?" Poley asked.
"It's where our investigation led us," Doggy answered, "Now, let's go."

Y/N's POV (second person)
"Goddamit!" Rash screamed, "Focus!"
"Sorry, sorry," you ran up to him as fast as you could.
"Get up!" he shouted as soon as you tripped.
The police sirens were closing in, and you could hear one of the officer's footsteps.
"Oh, screw it!" Rash impatiently stated.
He ran off without you.
"Wait, love!" you were getting up. It was a hard fall, and you were hurt.

"Hands in the air!" the officer arrived.
That voice sounded.. familiar.
You turned around.
"Y/N?" Doggy asked, lowering his taser.
"Oh, hi.." you laughed awkwardly.
He walked up to you, but he didn't handcuff you like you expected.
"You look injured, are you alright?"
"I-I'm alright," you blushed.

"Wait, what if they catch him?" you thought about your boyfriend, Rash.
Doggy paused and both of you stayed silent.
He then leaned into his radio and said, "I'm searching in the alley behind the house. Don't come over here, I've got it cleared."
"Alright then. Let me know if you need back up," someone on the other line responded.
Doggy then turned it off, and turned to you.
"I haven't seen you since middle school! How have the past few years been?"
You were surprised more than anything.

"I'm.. I'm not doing well if you want me to be honest," you finally admitted after years of telling everyone things were fine.
"How'd you end up in this of all situations? You never struck me as a future criminal.."
"I'm not! I just... well, I'm dating the person you're looking for. But, I've never helped in his crimes. He just asked me to run away with him."
"Wrong crowd, huh?"
"You could say that.."

"He doesn't sound like right fit for you. I mean, you're smart, kind and loyal. You deserve something better than this," Doggy helped you get up.
"Th-thanks, offi-"
"Just Doggy."
"Thanks, Doggy."
He turned on his radio, "The back is cleared. Nobody's here, and there's nothing off."
He it turned it off again and said, "You should get going."
"Thank you, Doggy," you hugged him.
He hugged you back, and you left.

A few hours later, you got a phone call from the police station.
It was Rash.
"Where are you?" he asked angrily.
"At my favorite park," you answered.
"Well, I got arrested because you—"
"We're done."
"Sorry?"
"We're done, Rash."

Y/N's POV (FIRST PERSON)
I got interviewed by the cops a few days later, but nothing came of it.
Well, one thing came of it.

"Y/N, wait!"
"Huh?"
"Oh there you are," Doggy went to catch up with me.
"Hi," I waved.
"Hey."
"What is it?"
"Since Rash's house is being taken away, don't you need a place to stay?"
I was completely flustered, "I'd be too much of a bother.."
"No, no. It's fine, I'm looking for a roommate anyways."
"How come?"
"Uh... I just get kinda lonely."
"Aren't you supposed to be at work right now?"
"My shift's over."
"I'll think about it, bye, Doggy."
"Hold on, do you want to hang out..?"
"Oh, uh sure."

We went to Doggy's house for a bit.
We talked about rent for a brief moment, but it more about catching up than anything.
It felt nice.
I told him how I ended up with Rash and he told me how became a police officer.

We lived together for a few months after that.
I warmed up to Doggy a lot.
We'd often hang out together as friends.
I needed some time to myself after breaking up with Rash, however.
He was very understanding about it, and always gave me space.
I met Doggy's friends.
I didn't really have any friends of my own, so I just started hanging out with them.
Poley, Doggy and I quickly became a trio.
I had been working at a restaurant as a waitress for months while I decided what career to chose, but it finally dawned on me.
I decided to become a police officer too.
During this time, there was one night that stood out to me.

I was sitting down on the couch watching television when Doggy came up to me with a few beers.
"Want a drink or two?" he asked.
"Sure," I answered.
We both got a little tipsy, and I remember watching a horror film with him
I got really scared at one point and cuddled up to Doggy.
He giggled, lifted up my chin and kissed me.
I put my hand on his chest after that and he had his arm around me for the rest of the night.

We didn't talk about until last week.
"Doggy?" I went up to him.
"Yes, N/N?"
"Do you remember that night where we both got tipsy and kissed?"
"Uhh.. yeah."
"I was wondering. Maybe we should.. talk about it."
Doggy stopped what he was doing and hugged me, lifting my chin again while he did it, "What about it?"
That gaze in his eyes..

"I... I love you, Doggy."
He simply kissed me, and the pulled me in closer.
"I love you two, my darling." he whispered in my ear.
