Officer? (Doggy x Fem!Reader)🌩

"So this is where Tigry is?" Doggy asked.
"I'm sure he's here, love," Y/N answered, "It's where our investigation led."
Doggy switched their hats, "Let's go then, together."
She held his hand as they stepped inside the abandoned house.

The place was a reck; cobwebs everywhere, some of the floor in the second story was falling apart, holes in the stairs, the bills hadn't been payed in months.
Still, Doggy held his taser in hand while Y/N searched for the suspect.
"A Red key," she paused, "Wasn't there a door with a red lock?"
"Yes, by the end of the hallway," Doggy answered.
They walked there and unlocked the door.

"An orange key, there must be an orange door around. C'mon, darling!" Y/N smiled, grabbing Doggy's hand.
"We should be more alert," he stated.
"I think we're fine," she assured him.

After quite a bit of searching, they stumbled across the door.
Y/N unlocked the door and looked inside.
"Bullets and a gun," Doggy said, "Looks like we'll have to add 'possession of an illegal weapon' to the list of Tigry's crimes."
"I'll write that down," she took out a notepad and quickly wrote down what they found.

"You think we could use that axe to break the door down?" Doggy questioned.
Y/N looked up from her notes to see him holding an axe.
"Yes, we could," she told him.
They broke down a door with a white lock that entered into the backyard.

"Hands in the air!" Y/N shouted as Tigry climbed the fence.
Tigry quickly threw his knife at the officer's head, just between his eyes.
"Y/N!" Doggy screamed with anguish.
She tumbled backwards.
Doggy caught her, "Y-Y/N..?"
"I love you," she said before passing out.

A week went by before Y/N woke up from her coma.
Her husband, and best friends stood by her bedside.
"Y/N!" Doggy cried, hugging her.
"Officer...?" she asked confused.
"Where am I?" Y/N looked around.
They were in a white, impeccable hospital room.
She noticed the people near them. Poley was familiar. But, who were the three zebras, the mole, the pony, the giraffe or the pigs?
"You've been a coma for a week, love," Doggy explained.
"Love? What do you mean?" she had more questions than answers.
"You don't remember the past six years, do you?"
"What happened?"
"We've been married for two years, dated for four."
"We did?"

Doggy's heart shattered.
He knew about the amnesia, the doctors warned him about it.
However, nothing could have prepared him for what he felt at the moment.
It was too awful to describe with words.
The love of his life, his world, his everything didn't know what they went through together.
He silently put his hand on top of Y/N's.
She held his hand. Something about him made her feel.. safe.

"Y/N doesn't remember us?" Georgie asked.
"She doesn't," his mom quietly said as she hugged her son.
Zizzy hugged Pony's shoulder and started crying.
Pony started tearing up too.
Mimi, Bunny and Giraffy started crying.
"There's got to be a way for her to get her memory back!" Penny exclaimed, perhaps a little too loudly for a hospital.
"I'm sorry, Penny. But, this isn't a movie. Her memory truly is gone now," her dad explained.

The twins went to the detective's bedside.
"Y/N, I'm Zee," one of them told her, "And this is my twin sister, Zuzy."
She pointed at people as she named them, "Those are Zizzy, Pony, Mimi, Giraffy, Georgie, Penny, Mr.Piggy, Mrs.Piggy, Bunny, Poley and Doggy."
"Zizzy's our older sister," Zuzy talked, "Pony is her husband. We met during, well it's a long story. The short of it is that we lived with them, Giraffy, Mimi and Georgie for almost a year."
"Okay, then. So, we were roommates?" Y/N asked.
"Yes," Zee answered.
"What about Georgie's parents and I'm guessing you two are siblings, right, Penny and Georgie?"
"We are," Penny confirmed.
"Yeah. My family went missing during that time, so I had to stay with you guys," Georgie said.
"Oh, I see," Y/N was doing her best to understand. They were pretty good at explaining things for the record.

They explained the entire apocalypse to the detective.
She didn't believe them at first, but once the doctors confirmed it, well, there was no denying what happened.
They all talked about how the months went by, and how they found the cure after sailing across the North Sea.
Y/N asked a lot of questions, which the twins were happy to answer.
Eventually, they finished that chapter and started discoursing what happened afterwards.

"So, Doggy and I married? That'll take a while to get used to.." Y/N mentioned.
Doggy smiled and put his hand under head.
She looked up.
"It's alright, love," he said.
Even with the amnesia, they still had a connection.
Besides, Doggy knew one thing for a fact:
It didn't matter how long or what it would take, he'd do everything he could to earn Y/N's heart back.
To see the love of his life smile at him like she used to..
