"Are you sure she's here?" Doggy asked you.
"My investigation led me to this place. I'm sure she's here," you answered with confidence
"Let's make this arrest quick then," he answered.
You looked around the alleys to find Willow.
"She has to be here somewhere!" You told yourself. You tried to unlock a code, only missing a digit. You could have sworn you saw it, but forgot the number.
"I'll just go through all of them until I find the number," you thought to yourself. That when you heard footsteps, and saw him. It was Rash, your boyfriend. There must have been some mistake, right? What would the boyfriend of a detective be doing there? He didn't work alongside you.
"R-Rash?" You thought.
Suddenly, you heard a taser.
"Focus, detective!" Doggy said, "He almost attacked you!" He then handcuffed Rash.
"Right, right. Sorry, Officer Doggy," you apologized.
"No worries," he sighed, "Could you take Rash to the car? I'll figure out the code." He offered, figuring that something was wrong.
"Thanks, Doggy. I'll go take him," you said and then walked Rash to the police car.
"Y/N," Rash said on the way, once you two were alone, "I didn't mean to hurt you. I—"
"I still can't believe this," you interrupted him, "What are you doing here!? In these alleys, where a wanted criminal is. This is just a mistake, right?"
"Y/N, I'm.. I'm working with Willow."
You felt a sharp feeling in your gut. How could he do this? Why would he do this? He was clever, kind, and had such a bright future ahead of him prior.
"I-I can explain!" Rash said, like if he read your mind, "She's extremely close to me, and she needed help. Her family was close to starving, and—"
"Wasn't there a better way to help her!? A way where you wouldn't get yourself tangled in this!?"
"I had no other way to help her, I promise."
"There are you just didn't think it through."
"Okay, you're right," he sighed.
You both went in front of the car. You took off the handcuffs.
"What are you doing?" Rash asked, "Isn't the other officer going to question it if you let me go? You're going to be in as much trouble as I am in."
"Who said I'll let you go?" You told him, "If this is the last time I'll see you out of bars in most likely over a decade, we're making the most of it."

You both sat down on the floor, and laid your backs on the car door. Rash put his arm around you, and you placed your head on his shoulder.
"Remember our first date?" You started calming down now. It felt relaxing to just be in his arms.
"Of course I do, love," he answered calmly, "It's the best day of my life."

That date happened exactly two years and ten months prior. You matched with each other on a dating app, and agreed to meet at a restaurant. You waited outside for half an hour, when you called.
"Hello? I've been waiting for half an hour. Where are you?" You asked.
"Inside the restaurant? Where are you?" Rash answered.
You went inside, and true to his word, Rash was sitting there with a menu in hand, and a glass of water. You sat down embarrassed, and started reading the menu. You both ordered some food, and then started talking.
"So," Rash asked jokingly, "My mom's been dead set on having grandkids. Can you give her those?"
"I'm not sure, can you tell me how much you get payed?" You continued the joke.
You both laughed for sometime. It seemed like the awkwardness of the start was finally over.
"Okay, in all seriousness," he said, "what do you want this relationship to be like?"
"The type where we cuddle everyday after work, and have a date every weekend?" You asked.
"I'm down for that," Rash answered, "What about nicknames? How do you feel about 'cutie'? It sure does describe you."
"You can call me anything you want, love," you told him.
"Aww!" Rash was excited, "I think this relationship is going to be wonderful."
"I think it already is," you said.

Back to the present, you both told the story. You laughed, and happily kissed. Not realizing that Doggy had finished arresting Willow, and both were standing right in front of you.
"You have a lot of explaining to do, detective," he said.
