"Sports Festival!"
"That's totally ordinary!"
"Come on! We just had that villain attack, you sure about this?!"
Aizawa sighed glancing over his class to see the sea of worried expressions, he looked to Y/n before glancing at the brace on her leg. "It's necessary to demonstrate that U.A.'s crisis management protocols are sound... that's the thinking apparently. Compared to the past years however, there'll be five times the police presence. Anyhow, our sports festival is... the greatest opportunity you'll get. It's not an event that can be cancelled over a few villains."
"Are you sure about that?" Mineta whimpered before whispering, "It's just a stupid Sports Festival."
Y/n's ears tilted back with a huff, her tail flicking towards Todoroki to wrap around his ankle. Midoriya looked at Mineta like he was insane, "Mineta... are you telling me you've never seen U.A.'s Sports Festival?!"
"Of course I have. That's not what I mean..."
"Our Sports Festival is one of Japan's biggest events." Aizawa interrupted, "The Olympics were once the world's sports festival. The whole country would be whipped into a frenzy over them but as you know, that tradition has shrunk in scale of its former self. And as far as Japan's concerned, what's taken the place of the Olympics is the U.A.'s Sports Festival!"
"The nation's top heroes will all be watching right? They'll be there as scouts." Momo spoke up.
"That's right," Aizawa nodded, "Othim will also be there as a watch guard."
The class collectively seemed to perk up, Y/n especially and the class began to murmur. Todoroki spoke up next, surprising almost everyone. "Does that mean Y/n won't be able to participate in the Sports Festival?"
The use of the dragon's first name caught on with everyone except the dragoness in mention who simply looked at Aizawa with expectancy as if he was supposed to say yes but could Aizawa ever say no to those pleading eyes? Yes, yes he could. Did he have to? No, no he didn't. "Yes, Othim will be allowed to participate in the Sports Festival to the extent that at any sign of danger she acts accordingly."
Y/n shot up from her seat with the brightest smile imaginable as she bowed, "Thank you so much Aizawa-senpai!" It was an easy sight to spot, that long tail of her's curled tightly around the half and half boy's ankle. Little papillas sticking out from under her scales, an obvious sign that the soon to be fifteen year old was going to develop feathers, Aizawa decided to mention it.
"Othim, you'll be turning fifteen soon, yes? I suggest you talk to Principal Nezu so he doesn't do something... extravagant."
The teen seemed to shy at that as she plopped back down into her seat before most of the class seemed to perk at the news, Todoroki especially. "I will have a word with him."
Aizawa nodded, grabbing the class's attention and continuing to speak about the Sports Festival. Determination crossed over the dragonet's features, she was going to make herself known, whether they liked it or not.
The bell rang loudly, causing the female's ears to tilt back as she made her way out of modern literature only to stop and wait for Todoroki patiently who came up to her side. Her head tilted and she moved to nuzzle his jaw and he reached up to pat her head, the affection they gave each other both greatly appreciated. No one noticed the exchange, this little trade they did so often now it was a surprise no one realized especially with how bold the dragoness was becoming. Todoroki didn't mind it however, not at all, no he rather enjoyed the quiet and short exchange that sent butterflies into his stomach- the feeling was confusing but not scorned.
