"Well, if it isn't the little shit." A voice spat, making me ever so slowly rotate my body around, greeted by the stoic expression of Levi.
A devious smirk crawled across my face as I entwine my arms over each other. I tilt my upper body towards him, shaking my head tauntingly.
"Well, if it isn't the infamous dickhead." I retort, earning some nearby snickers and taunting catcalls from passing peers.
His grey orbs rotate around the brim of his lids. "Why are you here?" He asks curtly.
I feel a familiar pair of hands pop on my shoulder, already knowing it's Isabel. The peak of her head comes into view, slithering around mine like a snake.
"She just wanted to say hi." She giggles, followed by her own pained grunt, as my elbow finds itself in her stomach.
My arm drapes around her nape, as a sly smirk plays on my lips. "My friend, Isabel here, just wanted to meet you personally. She was with me from last night." I state, and a choked gasp emits out of Isabel's mouth.
"Well, go on." I urge, my hands pressing against her back, making her stumble forward. I plaster a fake, sweet smile at her and wave, despite the warning glare she shoots me.
"Traitor," she mouths.
As she retreats her face towards Levi, her expression turns to a sweet, welcoming smile. I chuckle to myself, my hand hiding my mouth, as I view Isabel exchanging inaudible words with Levi.
Towards the end of their conversation, I can tell he's chuckling, nodding, and scratching his hand through the top of her hair.
A young man joins them, looking around Levi's age. He's the same one from last night, who alerted us to all of the incoming Offeree drones. His hair is scraggly -- the color of a tan blonde, while his eyes hold a brilliant blue. I could've sworn Isabel's eyes lit up for a moment at the sight of him.
After a few more moments, Isabel waved to both of them and sauntered back over to me ---- leaning against the wall with crossed arms, and as usual, I wore a bored look on my face.
"So, how'd it go?" I inquire.
A sheepish smile creeps onto her face, as she shyly tucks her hands behind her back. "It went good! Levi's actually really nice, I don't know why you hate him so much." She states, shrugging her shoulders, and wavering her bottom lip.
I shoot her a narrowed look, "do you not remember the story I told you? He's a dick. You just don't see it." I assure her.
She shrugs her shoulders, "or maybe you two just got off to a bad start." She contradicts, earning an eye roll from me.
"I'm mean to everyone." I point out, with a roll of my eyes.
"True, but you could do better."
I cast her a glower, "who are you? My mother?" I scoff.
An exasperated sigh passes her lips, "no! You know I'm not trying to be, I'm just trying to give you some simple advice." She assures me.
"Well, maybe that's just who I am, Izzy." I let out a frustrated sigh.
Isabel nods, "I know, I know, but do you think you'll ever be more open?" She asks.
Another sigh emits from my mouth, and I side-glance at her, my back facing her. "I don't know," I mutter.
What catches my eye is a glimpse of ginger hair. It belongs to a girl with hazel eyes, who has an odd, yet friendly aura about her.
