As if it were possible, he pulls me closer to him, wanting to feel and devour every inch of me. His mouth devours mine as if trying to satisfy a hunger that he's kept down for so long.

My hand slides up into the back of his head, running through and feeling all the locks of his raven hair.

His hands grip my back as he throws all his passion, his frustration, and maybe even his love into the kiss. His tongue starts to try and gain entry to my mouth, but my own wet muscle blocks him. We battle for dominance, but soon enough, he is allowed to fully access my mouth.

His tongue swipes across my teeth, making a heatwave shudder over me. That's when my lungs are begging for air, and I have no choice but to break apart from him.

Both of us are emitting heavy breaths, neither looking the other in the eye. Soon enough, Levi shifts his head closer, meeting my own forehead.

I let my eyes drift to a close, feeling content and relaxed. Almost as if there's no pressure of Petra breathing down my back, trying to constantly warn me and remind me to stay away from what is not even actually hers.

I shift one eye open, taking note that Levi is also doing the same.

My heart seems to be thundering in my ribs, letting me take every pound it makes.

"Ebony..." he mutters, causing me to cast my eyes up at him.I remain silent, knowing that he's going to continue. "I think I'm falling in love with you."

I feel my heart drop into the pit of my stomach, remembering Petra's threat.

"Why is that?" He adds, now meeting my slightly shocked gaze.

Well, this is basically the perfect moment to tell him.

"Because you're my soulmate." I sigh, lowering my eyes away from him.

A frown crosses his face, "what?..." He whispers. "How is that possible?..."

That's when my fingers tug at the brim of my sleeve, yanking it up to reveal the bracelet that is starting to emit a beep. Red dilated words flash across the blackness of the bracelet again.

Levi Ackerman.

For the first time, a shock is written across Levi's face, as he looks from the bracelet to me.

"How'd you find this?" He questions.

Another sigh passed my lips, "I crashed into some old lab and discovered that it was my dad's. And then I somehow opened a secret cabinet which contained the bracelet that I'm wearing now."

"Why didn't you show me this earlier?" He asks, slight hurt laced in his tone.

My eyes drifted to the side of him, "I don't know -- maybe it was Petra. It's not that I'm afraid of her, but she is the CEO's daughter. She basically has law enforcement in her pocket. She would go to drastic measures to keep us apart, and I don't want to put anybody I care about, in harm's way." I explained.

Warm slender hands rose to cup both sides of my face, leaving me no option but to look at him.Tenderness was showing in his cold, dark eyes.

"You don't have to worry about me, okay?"

I didn't try to protest, I just let out another sigh, my eyes averting him once again.

"Tch," Strong arms tucked me into his chest, making my eyes round.

From the time that I've known Levi, he's not one to be affectionate or comforting. A grunt that sounded female, broke us apart, wildly breaking apart from one another.

My eyes round, as a glower creases between my brows.

"Ymir?! What are you doing here?" I exasperate.

"No time to explain, the offerees won't get off our asses. Neither mine, nor both of yours. We need to go." She rambles on, with me already finding my hand in hers.

"Wait... why? I thought we lost them." I fumble, as she dragged me along with her, Levi running beside us.

"I overheard them talking. Ebony, they're specifically after you. If we don't hurry, you'll be thrown in jail." Ymir added, causing an enlarging width in my eyes.

By now, we ended up on a high ledge, our legs endlessly carrying us at a fast pace.

Sounds of bullets shooting, rang out, as some whizzed past us.

"Whoa, they're shooting at us?!" Ymir exasperates.

"Keep running!" I urge, keeping my focus ahead.

What breaks my attention is the cry of pain that utters out of Levi's lips. I slide my feet to a halt, eyes wide, and focused on a wincing Levi - his hands clutching his side, which is starting to emit a pool of crimson.

A small, gaping hole is in the center of the wound.

With him being on the edge, his feet slip out from beneath him, and his back is the first to fall.

I feel my voice ripped from my lungs, as my feet race, only to stop at the edge.

"LEVI!"
