The Alphas Mermaid Princess

A new beggining

In this chapter I will be speaking from Ryder's point of view,I'll be trying to do this a bit more frequently so let me know if you like it or not;)

I make my way across my room as my mate trails behind me

A sliver of hope blossoms in my chest,There will be a long road ahead before I get my mate to trust me but I know things can get better from here

I loved her,I loved her so much that every fiber in my body would only exist to love,please ,and treat her like the queen she deserved to be.

I opened the door to see one of my on duty guards turn to look back at me along with the one to my left,when they see it's me and my mate behind me they quickly bow respectfully and stand to the side

I look back at my mate as I stand to the side of the room allowing her a free path

She walks past me as I follow beside her,we make our way down the long hall to the stair case,I allow my mate to make her way down the stairs and I don't take my eyes off of her.As we reach the end I access my surrounding as always when I enter a room

The house was pretty quiet,the only people in the house were those who were on service.Maids,Sometimes cooks and my own pack guards,along my brothers,and Betas occasionally.I have made sure that my house had remained more private than normal for Merina to settle in a bit more comfortably

I have the main pack house as a neighbor to me,My house isn't too far at all but it allows me somewhat privacy.The only ones that live in the house are my own family or guests that are staying here,along with chefs and cooks and my Betas and higher standing in my pack

We have other houses that hold my pack memebers who do not live on their own,most family's do live on our own but we have many houses that house staff and worriers along with elders and higher families.it's all about social standings within large packs like mine

We had some more guards placed in my own home for Merina sake,I couldn't risk loosing her.I would go to the ends of the earth to be with my mate.

I lead her twords the large kitchen in the main room

I turn to look at my mate as I push out a chair/stool for her at the seating area on the other side of the island"take a seat here and relax,I'll get started on the cooking"I tell her as I look into her gorgeous light blue eyes almost loosing focus

Before they would keep changing colors because of her emotions,now they were back to her regular enticing aqua blue color so I hope that meant she was calmer and less anxious

My mate nods sheepishly as she takes a seat

I grab her a glass of water and set it twords her as I begin to take items out of my refrigerator and gather all the pots and pans I'll need to prepare dinner

I had called off the chefs for today because of my mates brothers arriving,I wanted the house to be a bit more empty than usual to prevent rumors about the packs new luna.The staff will usually be pestered for gossip since they are in my home and everyone wants to know about their Luna.

She wasn't ready to start meeting my pack yet,it was too soon and I knew she wasn't  ready

I look at her as I begin to prepare the items that would be cooked

"I'm making pasta with meat balls,do you like that?"I ask her

She looks up at me and shrugs"I'm not sure,I've never had that before"she says shyly

I smile intrigued"Interesting"I say to myself as I begin to boil the pasta"I think you will enjoy my cooking"I tell her

She watches me intently"I never expected an Alpha like you to be able to cook for yourself "She says with an amused expression
