Merina's P.O.V

I watched as my mate walks away angrily slamming the door behind him

I huff and curse under my breath,this was very unlady like and was very much the opposite of my teachings but Ryder made me angrier than most!

I spent the rest of the morning  reading my mother's spell book.I went over all the spells in my head and began to memorize them even though my selfish mate would not allow me my powers

It angers me so,the only thing distracting me from my rage was my mother's book,so many new things to learn In such little time.

My mother  warned me that Austin and Dereck would eventually find a way of getting close enough to finding me,And I don't even have my powers to fight,all thanks to my mate.

I sigh as I look at the clock next to me,it was already 8:30am

My eyes felt heavy as I laid on the large soft bed with my mother's book in my hand

I felt my worries slowly slipping away as my eyes begin to be engulfed by sleep,when suddenly I hear the clicking of a lock towards  the double doors on the other side of the room

I quickly jolt up as I hear a soft knocking on the door

I stare at it confused as I get up off of the bed,who was trying to come in?

"Who's there?!"I yell

Seconds later a softer voice answers"Luna,I'm apart of the pack and I help out with the housing staff, can I come In?"

Luna?They are already calling me Luna?This worries me.I knew this dynamic would be difficult,I have my own kingdom to rule never mind helping Ryder Rule his oversized land dogs

"Just a minute!"i shout again as I grab my mother's spell book and run into the closet,I tuck it back into the box along with my tiara hiding it in one of the many droors  beneath some clothes

I run back out into the main room"Come in"I say running my hand through my tangled hair

The double doors open to reveal a woman about my height with bright blonde hair and beautiful blue eyes much like my own yet a bit darker

She was rather petite in size but her body suited her,I noticed she wore blue ripped shorts with a loose fitting white top.she wore her  wavy hair down and had dark tanned skin,she was absolutely gorgeous

"Hello,My name is Lacey.I'm apart of Alpha Ryder's pack and I help out managing the house with the staff,I have been assigned to make sure you have everything you need day to day and to help you with any other needs"She spoke with a bright and warm smile

She is much like the personal servants we had back at home,Being a Princess I grew very close with the staff and workers who worked in the castle.They were always like a second family to me,She reminded me very much of my own handmaiden Cora.

I smile warmly"Very well,Thank you"I say politely

She smiles back"Of course,I'm sorry we haven't met sooner.I hear that you have already been here for more than a couple of days,But as you may know the Alpha has kept the staff in his own home  down to a minimum since your arrival"She says

I nod"Yes I haven't seen many people around here expect for his Pack guards,Its nice to meet you none the less.I must admit it's nice to see another friendly face"I say feeling locked up

She smiles at me again with her bright white teeth"That's so kind of you to say Luna"She tells me

I stiffen at the name"Please,just call me Merina"I say "I'm not yet oficially named Luna,Nor have we even had that discussion yet"I say sighing
