Chapter 5

Claire's POV
I woke up in my room with my mouth completely dry. I rolled over and saw a bottle of water on my nightstand. Just as I grabbed it Michael walked in.
"Your finally awake." he smiled.
"Yeah I guess. Can you open this?" I handed him the water and he opened it handing it back to me.
"How long was I out?" I asked and he thought about it for a minute before saying, "Well you slept through the whole day they kept you in the hospital and then today before they dropped you off they gave you a seditive so you wouldn't wake up and freak out on your way here."
"Oh okay... You probably hate me now don't you?" I said and right when I did his eyes got huge.
"Why would I hate you? If I hated you I wouldn't have saved you, and I definitely wouldn't be here now. I am upset with you for what you did, but that doesn't change anything." he shook his head sitting down beside me.
"Well thanks Mikey you're the best. Can we go get pizza?" I said after hugging him.
"I guess." he said grabbing my arm and helping me stand up. "Okay now get out so I can get dressed." I said pushing him out the door of my room.
I put on a big Monsters Inc. sweatshirt, white leggings, uggs, and put my hair up in a messy bun.
I walked out and Michael said, "You ready?" Grabbing his car keys out of his pocket. "Yeah, where's my mom?" I said.
"Oh she asked me to stay today incase you woke up cause she had to work, but I don't think she'll really care if I took you out for pizza." he said as we got in his junker car.
"Can I have my phone?" I said looking at him. "That is something I can't help you with your mom has it under lock and key and told me no matter what I could not let you get online."
"Urgh come on. Can I-" he cut me off. "No you can't use my phone either." he said pulling into the pizza place.
We walked into the restaurant and i saw a few people from school and I figured they would just ignore me.
We sat down at a booth and talked about random things till the waitress came. I recognized her from school. What was her name? It was... Britta.
She was the girl who had stuck up for me online. "Oh my gosh your okay!" She squealed hugging me. "I thought you were gonna..."
She trailed off as she pulled away. "So what can I get you guys?" She smiled taking out a notebook. "I want a Mountain Dew Baha Blast and a slice of Hawaiin pizza." I said and Michael thought for a few seconds before saying, "I want a root beer and a pepperoni pizza." he said handing her both of our menus.
After she walked away I said, "Your gonna eat a whole pizza?" He laughed, "Most of it and what I don't eat we can take back to your house."
We went back to talking about anything and everything. The most random stuff it felt like what I had done had never happened.
When Britta brought back our drinks and food she gave me her phone number and said that we should hang out sometime. But right away I knew she just felt bad for me. She would have never for it if what I had tried didn't happen. She always stuck up for me and was nice, but she was just being a pity friend.
As we were eating a familiar face came up. Luke. "Hey Claire, I know that you were my online friend and I know why you didn't want to meet me now but I really don't care that your you. All those jerks, they don't know you, but I do and I really hope we can be friends." he smiled.
Michael looked really confused. "Um I- I think we could." I stuttered as Michael sat across from me really confused and I looked at him telling him that I would explain later.
After Luke gave me his phone number he left with his group of friends, Calum being one of them.
"Okay so what was that?" Michael said taking a sip of his drink. "I met Luke online but I didn't know it was him. He was really nice to me and after I met the video he sent this comment that was pretty close to what he just said and he wants to be my friend." I said and told him the whole story and he sat there and listened.
"He sounded sincere but if he hurts you I'm probably gonna kill him you've already been through enough." He said and we got up and walked out to the car.
When we got home my mother was still at work. So we decided on watching movies.
A/N so Claire's getting better and Lukes getting close to her. Yay. well have a cutsie couple! Michaels all adorable and over protective
