Chapter 10

After Luke dropped me off at the hospital I got a quick shower and settled into my make shift bed made out of hospital chairs.

I started to scroll through my phone when I heard a small whimper. I looked up and Michael's eyes were open. He was staring right at me.

I looked up and Michael's eyes were wide open and his mouth had fell open.

"D-DOCTOR!" I stuttered. "H-HELP SOMETHINGS WRONG!" I screamed and a bunch of nurses and doctors rushed in.

The nurse who worked nights and always talked to me when I couldn't sleep dragged me into the hall and pulled me into a hug.

"Shhhhhhhh it's okay. it's okay." She whispered as I sobbed into her arms.

I heard the doctors rushing around. "1...2...3... CLEAR!" Then I heard an electric shock, a moment of silence, then the beeping of Michael's heart monitor. Soon all the doctors and nurses came out smiling.

"I-is he okay?" I stuttered.

"Yes ma'am. He should be fine. It looks like someone messed with a few wires on his life support. You haven't messed with anything? Have you?" He asked me and I felt my face go white.

"WHY WOULD I EVER... HURT MY BEST FRIEND IN THE WORLD?!?!" I yelled in his face feeling my face go from white to red in a matter of seconds.

The nurse grabbed my arm and we walked away. "Ignore him. He's a total jerk and if it was up to me he wouldn't work here. He's a perv too."

I nodded my head. "Can we just maybe, check the security cameras? I just want to make sure no one was in there. Maybe the wires just came loose or something." I said.

"Sure, but wait till about twelve because that's when the security guard leaves." she said as we walked into the cafeteria.

We ate and then she left me because she had shifts to run.

I decided to text Luke.

C-Hey Lukeypoo!

I sent that because I knew he couldn't stand it.

L- Hey Claire-Di-Cat
C- UR such a loser.
L- aw but I'm UR loser.
C-no ur a random stranger who follows me around and occasionally takes me out for food.
L-well I'm a good random stranger then huh?
C-Sure, will U come down to the hospital? Plzzzzz
L-yeah sure be there in 20😘
C-can't wait😘

I went back to Michael's room and sat down next to him.

"Michael, I really need you to wake up. I don't know if you hear me or not, but your the only thing I have. I have Luke, but it's not the same. He's gonna leave me soon just like everyone else. You mean so much to me." I said and felt a tear roll down my face.

I felt so bipolar these days. I was happy one minute and crying the next. Even my mom noticed and she doesn't give two craps about me.

I was starting to think something was wrong with me.

Luke walked in.

"Hey babe." he said kissing my cheek and sitting down next to me.

"Hi. what time is it?" I said and he pulled out his phone. "11:45 why?" He said.

"Oh crap I have to meet somebody!" I said jumping up and running out the door with Luke not far behind.

I walked to the security room and saw the nurse standing by the door with a key.

"I can't let him in. I'm pushing it with you, dear." She said sadly.

"That's fine he doesn't know anything uet." I said and she nodded.

We went in and she started up the camera roll and I saw someone I never wanted to see messing with the machine.

Calum Freaking Hood attempted to murder my best friend.

A/N I'm sorry about a few days ago I was freaking out and just feeling sorry for myself which doesn't happen often but when it does it's pretty bad.

So don't expect another one of those I'm back for good this time, lovelies☺️
