Chapter 13

Claire's POV
I woke up as the sun was shining bright through the hospital window.

I guess Luke didn't come last night. I looked over to see Michael still in his sleep-like state.

I got up and decided on a shower before going to the cafeteria for breakfast.

I walked into the connected bathroom and saw fresh towels sitting on the counter from one of the nurses.

I walked over to the shower and turned the water on burning hot.

I grabbed my color-safe shampoo and conditioner and jumped into the shower.

I quickly washed my body in the hot water than flipped it to cold so I could wash my hair and not have to worry about the color rushing out.

After rinsing out my hair I got out and wrapped myself in the white fluffy towel.

I walked over to my bag and looked to see what was inside. Floral dress? No. Black skirt and lace crop to? Nah. Jeans and an All Time Low shirt? Duh!

I got out my clothes and got dressed then pulled out my hair dryer. It looks like I had moved into the hospital.

I quickly dried my hair and pulled out my bag of makeup. I don't know why I even bother I'm still ugly anyways.

I went ahead and did my makeup then decided to call Luke.

C-Hey
L-Hey. I'm sorry I haven't been up to see you I've been dealing with my brothers.
C-Its fine. I was wondering if you could bring me my school work or meet me for lunch or something.
L-Yeah of course. Um... Nandos?
C-Yeah sure.
L-bye babe
C-bye

After hanging up on Luke I headed down stairs for breakfast.

I waved at all the nurses leaving after their night shifts and a few coming in for their day shifts.

For some reason I was in an okay mood.

I ordered chocolate chip waffles and went and sat down.

I ate my waffles in silence till I saw a shadow looming over me.

I looked up to see Sophie with her makeup caked face.

"What do you want?" I said and her face showed no emotion.

"Nothing. I just saw you and came to talk." She said not bothering to look me in the eyes.

"Okay... One you hate me. Two why are you even here." I said bluntly.

"I know I'm sorry for everything I've ever done to you." she said looking down at the table.

"And why are you here?" I said and she looked at me for the first time with tears in her eyes.

"I-I I'm gonna be... A mom." She whispered the last part.

"Well. We all knew it was bound to happen sometime. Have a great life." I said and stood up and walked away.

That was mean. I thought as I walked away. But she deserved it. After all she did to me.

Karmas a- my thoughts were caught off by nurses walking past me and into Michael's room.

I quickly walked in and saw something amazing.

Michael was awake.
