CHAPTER 8: LINK UP

Kazuya's POV

Esora, jennifer and shinobu sit in front of me while kyoko just lean on the wall without paying attention to me. I don't know what her deal with me being all ego all of a sudden. The day she met me, she was a kind person. And a second later she turns into a jerk.

Esora couldn't hold much longer and i begin to play my first music.

After i play the song, dem peakys look at me with an awe. Even kyoko turn her face towards me and judging by the looks on her face, she somewhat kinda enjoys it but she didn't show it.

"So how was it?" I ask

"Impressive! You didn't even use the turntables" jennifer said

"Well...not all synthwave DJ uses turntables. You just need a beat and synthesizer"

"Can you play me another song? Please...." esora begging

"Sure. Let me play one song that i used to play back in the day"

I search the beat on my laptop and begin to play it. I crack my fingers and let the synthesizer fo the talking.

I play the synthesizer and tuning the knobs at the same time with my eyes closed as i feel the rhythm of the synth flows through my head, vein and possibly everything arround me. After the song ends, esora stare at me with an awe and a blush on her face. Same goes for jennifer and shinobu with her usual expression because she already saw me playing this song a gazilion times.

Kyoko....as for kyoko she keep maintaining her stoic face but her eyes shows that she was interested.

I tidy up my set and left the DJ podium to the door as i need to get home quick. But an satisfied lovely girl is demanding more.

"Can you please play one more?! Pretty please....?" Esora ask while making a cute face.

"No can do, esora. I have another things to do. Some other time okay?"

"Okay...but can at least let me and yuka-chan walk to the gate with you?"

"Sure, why not?"

Esora and jennifer grab their bags and kyoko walk to the door. She bump to my shoulder and proceed to leave the room with a dissatisfied look. I din't know what's her problem by showing that kind of attitude towards me. Is there any wrong i did?.

Shinobu left as both of us need to have seperate distance to keep our sham relationship plan from getting busted.

3rd person POV

As kazuya left the school area, he is having a text messages with shinobu on his phone about kyoko's sudden change of perspective on him. But what he didn't know, a certain girl is creeping up on him and she's sneaking behind kazuya for a hug. And then....

"Ao-kun!!!" A girl jump on his back for a hug.

"JOCKEY ON ME!!! GET IT OFF!!! GET IT OFF!!!"

Kazuya struggle with an entity who hug him from behind unnoticed and turns out, it was rinku who is hugging him with a huge smile.
