Oh god, oh god, oh god. This can't be happening. I thought this as panic ripped through me. I tried to break free of the shackles tied by yours truly, and as it turns out, she didn't really tie me up very well. With that, I was able to free myself within the next five minutes. Once I gave my wrists a little breathing room, I heard the shear sounds of screaming from inside of the church.

"Bloody murder!"

"I knew it was too good to be true, it's a bad omen! These vampires are back!"

"But it can't be true!" I heard Damien yell, "She's innocent! She's done nothing wrong! There hasn't been a vampire since 1892!"

"Why are you sticking up for that bloody thing? Are you one of them-?!" someone else shouted and then I heard that same person shriek followed by blood spilling everywhere.

I was watching in horror from the windowsills, watching myself go on a rampage. It was a blood bath inside, and Sophie was doing this all as me. One by one, they all dropped like flies, and I knew some of them scrammed before she could do anything to them. She ignored them as she found more and more bodies to shred. I heard the engines of cars running. Some of the families with their children left as quick as they could.

I looked around more, and saw Damien. He was by the podium, and standing ground, defending me as much as he could.

Damien must think I've gone in a frenzy mode...It's not me, Damien...It's not me...

I wanted to get in there and save a bunch of those who were left, but I knew if I did, then there would be even more confusion and trouble. I needed to leave, now. I can't stay here anymore. I might as well drive a stake through my own heart. Wait. Would that do it? I suddenly thought. I wondered if I did kill myself, would she disappear? Would she be gone forever and then it would all just be history?

The sound of a body slamming against my window interrupted my thoughts, and I was surprised. It slid down, leaving a trail of blood, and I saw Sophie staring right at me. She was smiling, and mouthed the words, "Admit it." I shook my head, and she said, "You need it." I shook my head again and she averted her attention to Damien at the podium.

She ran to Damien who grabbed him by the neck. Sophie lifted him up from his feet, and slammed his head down hard. She dragged him with his head on the ground towards Celeste's casket. Damien was struggling to take her hand off, and he gasped for air. He kept cool though, and I always admired that he took everything like a champ, especially when we'd brawl once or twice in his cabin. He snarled at her, but that didn't phase her, of course. I grinned to myself about how dang proud I am of him, for putting up a fight with vampires like us. Then I frowned, when I saw that she was getting ready to feed on his flesh right in front of me.

Not my best friend.

That's it. I backed away from the windows and then I threw myself through it. The glass broke into tiny pieces, and shards flew around, landing on the carpets. It was like it all happened in slow motion.

I grabbed one of the shards on the ground. I made sure it was sharp and pointy enough to stab through her thick skin. I saw her fangs baring and the tips had touched Damien's smooth skin.

At this point, it was just us now, except for the dead bodies on the ground. I was mad as hell, and I placed my hand on her shoulder. She stopped with the biting, and turned to me with her black and red eyes glowing.

"You just can't stop getting in the way of my plans, can you?!" Sophie yelled. She gave a grunt, with her two hands pushing me square in the chest. I felt the g-force being set off me, and I was flying in an arch backwards. My back hit the wall at the top of the church. "Why can't you just admit you're nothing like me!? You're weak, you're useless! Your history should end here!"

I fell from the top of the church, and landed face first. "Odette!" Damien shouted. "Get up, Odette!" I got back up on my feet and I threw my hair back from my face. I was going to have to get a haircut at some point as it was getting annoying fighting like this.

"Get over yourself, Sophie!" I fought back. "You think you are me, but you're just a shadow of me. Once I get rid of you, it'll be as if you never existed."

"You think it's that easy?" Sophie said, "What do you think is going to happen once you stab me? You think I'll dissipate? You think I'll go away just like that? It's not going to happen. I'll keep coming back until you admit to yourself!"

Obviously, that's where she's wrong. I exchanged a look between her and Damien. "I'm sorry, Damien." I mouthed to him silently.

"Wait, what do you think you're doing?" Damien asked. "You're not seriously stupid enough to kill yourself like this, are you?"

"What other choice do I have, Damien?" I asked angrily. "I can't lose you, I don't want you to die because of me. You're my best friend, and I- I love you!"

"There's got to be another way, Odette. We can figure this out! Celeste would want you to find a better option, even if you barely knew her!"

He kept spouting out the facts about how this has to end here. He knows I'm scared and everything, unable to fight if something like this happens again. "Shut up and let me think!" I said, and Sophie laughed.

"You don't have any time to think-!" She reached back down to Damien again, and I knocked her to the side head on.

"If you think I'll let you kill him, too, you've got another think coming!" I shouted, pinning her down as hard as I can, she hissed at me. "Sophie, you-!" My nostrils flared.

Blood. I was surrounded by the scents of blood all around me, but one of them stuck out to me the most. I wanted to salivate from the sweet aroma that pointed back to Damien, but I can't. I saw him with a shard of glass in his hand that dripped some of his blood. He had reopened his wound on his forearm from the other night and it was seeping down his fingertips.

"Please, Odette." Damien pleaded at me and my green eyes glowed out of hunger. "Trust me on this."
