Chapter Six

I bent down next to Corin letting my hand drop on her shoulder. The instant my hand touched her she stood up. Quickly placing the photo back to its place and glaring at me.

"What do you think your doing?"

 She asked.

 I looked at her confused.

"Trying to make you feel better!"

I answered her.

"You never touch another Cynderclone when their vulnerable. Especially if your new into the cycle! You can take their strength, powers, memories, even their life... Don't ever do it again."

I opened my mouth to speak but Corin wouldn't have it.

"Just don't do anything till we get to Kerrari. Ok?!"

I didn't even have time to give her a smart off comment by the time my eyes opened from a blink she was already on the motorcycle.

"Lets go!"

She shouted. I took my time walking back to her. When I had just barley gotten on the bike Corin took off.

"Whoa! Can't you wait till I'm on the freaking bike!"

I shouted scrummaging to get seated properly.

"You should hurry next time then shouldn't you."

I felt the attitude slap my face as she said her words. It was like high school all over again. The preppy snobs with their stabbing comments.

"Look you need to chill out! I'm tired of having to deal with your bipolar mood swings! Alright! I did nothing to you! I didn't ask for this life! I didn't ask for you to be my instructor! In stead of cake I got this shoved in my face on my birthday and was told to swallow it down!"

"I'm not your instructor. Your my partner."

was all she had to say. After all that I had said that was the only thing she caught onto!

"Your partner? What do you mean by that?"

I asked giving her all the attitude she had given me.

"I mean that I'm Bat Man and your Robin."

Corin said almost way to happy about the situation. We stopped in front of an abandoned ware house.

"What are we doing here?"

 I asked.

Corin just looked at me and rolled her eyes.

"Just shut up and follow me. Ok? One little noise out of you and you will be killed."

I stared at her, she had closed her eyes concentrating on something. When she opened them in her hands where two guns. Around her waist a belt loaded with grenades, bullets, and more guns. She had the whole bullets going around her shoulders making an X on her back look like she was from a movie. Her hair was pulled back into a tight pony tail, and her suit was glowing again. She looked like she was ready to kill a whole army. I gulped.

"Come on. Stay close behind me and what ever you do, don't get your self killed, or in any sort of danger where I have to stop what I'm doing to come save you! You got it!"

I nodded my head. Corin looked me up and down.

"Here take this."

she said handing one of the guns to me. I took it, when I did another one appeared.

"Lets go."

She said motioning me to follow her as she had started running towards the door. I followed her. A red beam came on and started moving its light every where.

"Shoot! A detector!"

Corin said diving behind a can as the light came our direction. I tried to do as Corin had, but my reflexes weren't as fast as hers. I stood there getting ready to jump into a pile of garbage when the red light hit me. It turned horizontal and searched my body from head to toe.

"State your name."

 It said.

"Uhh..."

I said confused and literally about to pee in my pants.

"Voice recognition."

I looked frantically around for Corin. She was no where in sight. I guess this is what she meant by if I spoke I would die.

"Voice recognition not verified. Access denied."

The light went out and breathed a sigh of relief.

"INTRUDER ALERT! INTRUDER ALERT! INTRUDER ALERT!"

A siren screamed flashing lights. I saw as doors were lifted up and hundreds of trained soldiers came running out. I looked at my puny gun. How the heck was I supposed to kill them all with this? I looked back up raising my gun. If I was going to die I would take some with me. I put my finger on the trigger, pointing it at the first guy that rounded the corner.

Pow! Pow! Pow! I heard as bullets came racing by my head.

I fell to the ground, dropping the gun and covering my head, crying my eyes out. I would be dead in a few seconds. I heard more bullets go off and the grunts of grown men as they fell to the ground. I peeked through my arms. Man by man falling to the ground before they could even bring the gun up form their side to point at me.
