Chapter Nine
"Violet get up."
I heard as Corin shook me.
"Wha- Wha- Whats happening? Where am I?"
"Ohh don't pull that Dorthy crap on me! We don't have time. We've reached our stop. Now its time for you to get your lazy butt up, grab your gun, and get ready!"
I did as I was told.
"I feel weird. Like I've just went through some kind of.. of.. Thing?"
"I don't have time to help you figure out what that was ok? We have to get Kerrari and get out of here. Quickly. I have a feeling the mist's are on their way."
I shook my head trying to escape the feeling I had. I watched as the last light on the elevator lite up and ding as the doors began to open. Corin shoved me to one side of the elevator as she went opposite of me. The doors opened and I heard as foot steps made their way towards us. I realized I was on the left side of the elevator. Which meant I was
on the right side to who ever was coming towards us. Great! Every one knows you check the right side first. Corin must of seen my realization. Her hand twitched and in it appeared a blade. She raised her other hand to her lips and pressed them for forward on the pointer finger. The footsteps grew closer. I felt as my heart began to catch up in speed. Within a few seconds I saw the tip of a gun come through the doors. I watched as it slowly began turning towards me. I held my breath as the man walked in and turned my direction.
"Big mistake!"
I said. He didn't even have time to breathe. Corin stepped forward and slashed his throat cover his mouth to muffle to noise in less than a second. I looked at Corin as she slowly laid the lifeless body down. "Ding." I looked up the elevator doors began to close. I heard shouting coming now. I looked out the doors and saw as a herd of mist's started coming our way!
"Corin!"
"I know!"
She shouted at me. They were running faster then lightening strikes the earth. There at the front leading them was Amy. They pulled out their guns and began shooting at us while the doors were shutting. I began shooting to.
"NO! Violet! Are you stupid! You don't shoot a gun in an elevator!"
Corin shouted hitting the close button a thousand times. I continued to shoot at Amy until the doors closed. I stared at my reflection as Corin was raging on and on about me being some kind of idiot.
"You know we have to get off of here sometime."
I said.
"Hmm.. No I didn't I thought we could live here for ever!"
