Chapter 11
The second the words left Corin's lips she began to cry. Really cry, not sob then wipe away the tears and walk away, like she usually did. But like shoulder moving stomach being pulled in cry. I could think of nothing better say than
“Like, she was your sister of this cycle?”
“No! She is my blood sister! That's the only thing I can remember about my real life. When I actually was alive and not this disgusting creature I am now.”
“I'm sorry Corin. But you'll see her again. She just went into a cycle.”
“Are you serous! You know nothing about being a Cynderclone! I may never see her again! I got lucky in this cycle that we found each other! That we were placed in the same life cycle! I may never ever see her again! Especially if the mists break the curse!”
Her words flew at me sending me to fall on my butt. How can there be so much I don't know. How could I have never even known about this? And why were all my memories far away from my mind? Staying hidden where I couldn't find them? Could I really be the “one” that both Amy and Kerrari were speaking of? I felt light headed. Leaning backwards until my body hit the ground I spoke.
“Corin. You need to tell me everything. You need to show me everything.”
“Oh and how do you expect me to do that? Huh! Kerrari is gone!”
“Well! She must of shown you! Just teach me what you know! That's all I'm asking for.”
I pleaded. Corin's tears were still streaming violently down her face. She soon nodded her head while standing up.
“Alright. You have my word that I will teach you everything I know. Not only will I do that I will also continue to keep protecting you. In return I ask of one favor.”
She paused looking at me. My body twitched at the sight of her in her suit again. She was utterly and completely beautiful. Like an angle mixed with a super model mixed with Megan Fox (Well you know, If Megan had a tan).
“What is it.”
I finally replied. Corin took a step closer to me so that we were eye to eye. I felt myself shake and quiver at the lack of space in between us. I felt the energy she was putting off.
“Help me bring the mists down.... At all costs.”
the way she said this made me gulp back the fear I had. In Corin's eyes I saw nothing but burning hatred.
“ I will but first answer my one question I have. Why?”
Corin was taken back by my response. She gave me a look of disgust and stupidity as she answered me.
“Why?! Because they've cycled my sister! Because their now closer than ever to finding a way to break the curse! And also because they killed Ran... ”
Her face broke just as her voice cracked. This was her weakness. She cleared her throat and tried again.
“Because they killed Randell.”
The truth had finally came out. Randell was the ball of energy keeping Corin collected. I could sense it in the air. Every breath I drew in I could instantly feel Corin's emotions. She kept moving on so that she could kill every mist. They took her love. Her one and only true love. She never really did care about the whole him being a human thing. She just wanted to live a life with him and cycle out. Every time she killed she pictured it was his killer. Every time she cried it was because of him. Randell, though not here any longer, was keeping her alive.
“Stop!”
I heard Corin yell breaking my trance.
“Stop what?!”
I shouted back from my startle.
“Your taking my memories! Stop!”
“Wha-at! I don't even know what I'm doing!”
I began to panic.
“You concentrating to hard on me! I'm vulnerable! Stop it Violet or your going to kill me!”
I tried hard to concentrate on other things. Eventually the memories began to fade in till they were nothing but that. A memory. Corin fell to her knee's. Sweat pouring all over here. Slowly she stood up. Corin looked at me and with in an instant I felt her palm come across my face. Now it was my turn to fall to the ground.
“You took my memories! Do you know what happens when you take enough memories?!”
She shouted at me I stumbled to get back on my feet shaking my head no.
“If you take enough of my memories you take me life! You know what happens if you take me life?!”
She yelled striking me again. This time I got up quicker.
“If you take my life,”
She continued.
“Then I will never cycle again! I will be trapped in you forever! Living through you seeing what you see experiencing what you experience! But never will I be me again!”
She rose her hand to strike me again but I caught it right as was in mid swing. Corin looked at me. I acted quickly with my other hand. Slapping her across her face and throwing her down as I released her arm. Corin wasn't down long. Within a second she was back up. Grabbing me by my neck and throwing me against a wall. Her suit was glowing bright and her strength was 10x what it normally was. Something flashed in her eyes and suddenly she let go. I slumped to the ground. Desperately coughing trying to catch air so I could breathe. Corin looked at me after recomposing herself.
“ I'm sorry.”
She said. Then began walking to the doors. Stopped and turned half way around.
“Come on. We need to leave and get to a safe place so I can begin training you.”
Turning back around Corin proceeded to exit the room taking one last look at where Kerrari's body had once been. I slowly got up hands around my neck. I couldn't believe what had just happened... I had slapped Corin. Me! Violet Flores had just slapped Corin Fixico!
