Chapter Seven
Suddenly I saw a pair of black boots where in front of me. I looked up to see Corin. She was shooting every guy like it was a piece of cake.
"Get up! And pick up your gun!"
She said turning around to shoot some guys sneaking up behind us. I got up quickly grabbing my gun.
"Cover my back."
Corin yelled.
"I cant!"
I shouted back at her.
"I just cant pull the trigger!"
"You'll pull that trigger if theres a gun pointed at your face!"
Corin yelled.
I turned and pointed the gun at guy sneaking up. I pulled the trigger closing my eyes.
Pow! I opened my eyes.
I missed.
Corin turned and shot him.
"Your left!"
she shouted turning back to my right and shooting. I turned to my left and began shooting. A guy dropped down to the ground dead.
"I did it! Corin! I shot a guy!"
"Good! Now could you get back to killing the rest of them!"
Corin shouted back.
Killing the rest of them? I took in a sharp breath.
"OHHH MYYY GOD! Corin! I JUST KILLED SOME ONE! Oh my God! Oh my God!"
I said freaking out.
"Violet! Pick your freaking gun back up and start firing!"
I started firing again but it was no use. It seemed like every one guy I killed 10 more appeared and every 20 guys Corin killed 20 more appeared.
"Corin their closing in on us! There are just too many of them!"
I shouted.
"I know just keep shooting!"
She yelled back. I pointed my gun at a guys forehead and pulled the trigger. Nothing happened.
"Corin! I'm out of bullets!"
I turned and looked at her. There was no way she could help me. She was busy shooting guys, dropping her guns and either getting new ones or fighting them off of her. I felt some one grab my shoulder. I screamed as I was being turned around to face my killer. He held the gun to my head.
"Tell your friend to surrender!"
He ordered. I opened my mouth but the words wouldn't come out. He cocked the gun.
"Tell her now or lose your life."
Come on words now would be a really great time for you to come out!
Nothing.
"Fine then."
he said placing his hand on the trigger.
Zoom.
The man with the gun to my face fell to his knee's. I grabbed his gun quickly. I noticed as more men began to fall to the ground suddenly. I looked to see if Corin was doing it some how. She didn't even have a gun in her hands she was busy taking on three guys at once.
Zoom. Zoom. Zoom.
The three guys fell. Corin turned and looked at me to see if I was doing it. Her eyes flashed wide and in an instant she was at my side grabbing my arm and dragging me behind some cans.
"Corin whats going on? Who is killing all those men?"
another guy went down as he had started to approach near us.
"A sniper by the looks of it."
Corin said. Another guy popped up out of no where. Corin shot straight up and was about to kill him when he fell to the ground instantly.
"And a darn good one by the looks of it."
She added. I watched as Corin made her eyes search the perimeter.
"What are you doing?"
I asked her.
Suddenly her eyes light up and she took off in a dead sprint towards something. I looked to where she was looking and saw a figure running away from her. The figure had the same speed as Corin. It was running and jumping over huge gaps and throwing things in Corin's way at the same time. I started running to try to help.
"What the heck do you think your doing?"
Corin asked when I caught up with her.
"Helping you."
Corin looked to yell at me but the second she did a huge canister was thrown at her. She tried to counter the blow but her reflexes were too late. I stopped and help remove it off of her.
"This is why you stay behind!"
She yelled getting back up quickly and scanning the area for the figure.
"I'm sorry, I was just trying to help."
I said.
"Well stop!"
Corin yelled.
"Come on lets go."
She said after a moment.
I slowly followed behind her. We walked back up to the entrance.
"State your.."
Corin didn't even look up at the machine. She raised the gun and shot it before I even had a chance to blink.
"Stupid detector." I heard Corin mutter.
"Now remember you stay BEHIND me and let me do all the talking."
Corin said walking over to a door. I watched as she reached forward and a keypad appeared. Corin typed in something so fast. Her fingers were moving in hypersonic mode.
"Over ride granted."
an automated voice said.
Suddenly the walls parted and in we stepped into a dark elevator.
