Armin's P.O.V
We were on our way to paradis for a peace meeting with historia and the other eldian officials.

It had been 3 years since that battle.. 3 years since eren died.
I took the credit for killing him.. Not because i wanted to but because i had to- so that i could unite everyone and make them believe that we were the heroes of the rumbling. Mikasa wouldnt want to be known as the one who beheaded eren, all she wants is to be with him on that place..
*knock*knock*

I snapped back to reality from the sound of knocking on my door, I opened it and outside was annie-my girlfriend. Me and annie didnt immediately date after the rumbling incident.. The two of us both needed time to heal and so did the world.. But we did see each other as often as we could just talking about our thoughts.. She was the person i leaned on now that the burden of maintaining peace with everyone is on my shoulders.. And I was the person that she also leaned on in return too.  After a few months of seeing each other i asked her to come with me at the beach one night, we sat on the sand and enjoyed the sound of the crashing waves and cool breeze. I looked up the sky staring at the stars above, Annie.. What do you feel about me? I asked staring right at her.
A light dust of pink tainted annie's usual pale complexion even at night i could see her face clearly.
She didnt look surprised at my question though, annie looked like she was deep in thought carefully choosing her words.

I patiently waited she already knew what i felt i think it was time i knew about hers.

Y-you are.. Someone ive let in... Through my icy heart. She replied biting her lips together and staring intently at the sand beneath us.

I leaned in closer our faces so close i could kiss her she seemed to expect that too but i dont want to rush.. So i went with the next best thing i pulled her head close to my lips and kissed her forehead. Once i pulled away i took a look at her face she was blushing but something in her expression tells me that she's somehow dissapointed? Hm..

Did you expect something else miss leonhardt? I teased.
Her blush deepened and she gave me a dangerous stare.
Shut up arlert or i'll kick you in the balls. Annie threatened.
Hm. You wouldnt dare hurt our future children now would you annie? I replied with a smart comeback.

At that moment i knew i pushed her buttons, Armin! She yelled blushing furiously. Tss i hate you she pouted turning away from me.
I laughed wrapping my arms around her, Im sorry i couldnt help it haha.
What gives you the idea id marry you anyway? Annie said sounding smug.
I-.. Well im the only one you're soft for i smiled at her.
Shut up annie says laughing a bit.
Does this mean you're officially mine annie leonhardt? I asked her. Yes yes it does armin arlert. Annie replied. We both looked up
Staring at the stars wondering do we deserve this peace?

Armin? Annie pulled me back to reality once again.
O-oh sorry i was lost in thought haha.. Come in, i said fully opening the door.
Annie sat on the bed and i sat beside her too. What brings you here annie? I asked.

Nothing much.. I just got bored.
What  about you.. You seem so lost in thought? Annie asked while side eyeing me.
Ah.. Its just.. Ive been thinking about you know.. The past and stuff. I replied.

I see.. Hey.. Dont stress about those stuff too much.. Those already happened and we cant change it.. All we can do is try to live with all our past and walk right now in the present. She said.

I smiled at her and held her hand, you've come a long way annie.. I say, hm its all thanks to you. But im a little worried though.. That we wont be accepted in paradis and they'd threaten us. Annie says looking down.

Like you said we'll walk right now in the present.. You wont be alone.. Ill be here  right beside you.. Besides we'll be under historia's protection so lets trust that. I reaassured her.
