"Ladies and gentlemen, we will be taking off shortly. Please buckle your seatbelts, make sure your tray tables are upright, as well as your seat, and thank you for flying American." Alexa and I were flying first class. I sat back in my seat and tried to relax a little. I was tired. Alexa, of course, was still tapping at her phone. I looked over to my right and looked out of the window. I looked back towards the front and closed my eyes. Then I heard a voice.

"Good morning, would you ladies like anything to drink this morning?" At the end of our row was a woman. She had on a navy blue pencil skirt, with a navy blue vest and a blue and white striped short sleeved button up underneath. Her dirty blonde hair was rolled into a french roll, and her bangs swooped around her face. Red lipstick stained her lips. She reminded me of one of the Barden Bellas from "Pitch Perfect."

"Uhh, yes, can I have a coffee with two creams and just bring the sugar to the side," Alexa said.

"I'll have the same," I said, smiling back. She nodded and turned to the row across from us.

"I can't believe we're actually doing this," Alexa said. She looked so excited, like a little child.

"I know," I said, squeezing her hand. I was very excited, but not as excited as she was. I was exhausted.

A few minutes later, the flight attendant came back with our coffees.

"Okay, so today, we have two options for breakfast. Um, we have french toast or a bagel and both come with a side of fruit."

"Can I have the bagel please?" Alexa said. The woman seemingly scribbled down what Alexa wanted.

"And for you miss?" she asked, smiling at me.

"I'll have the same," I said in reply. This was gonna be a long trip. But I hoped it would be one to remember.

"Mia," Alexa said, hardly shaking me. "We're here!"
I opened my eyes and felt the plane rolling slowly into the gate. I stretched a little and yawned. Alexa was already taking selfies...and we weren't even off the plane yet.
Finally, the plane was parked and the seatbelt signs were turned off. Alexa hopped up and opened the cabin doors and she pulled out my suitcase first, setting it down in front of the row, and then getting hers down.

"C'mon, let's go!" Alexa said yanking my hand. She was like a child going to a new toy store. I couldn't help but smile. A nice vacation with my best friend, and all the things I've ever dreamed of. British accents, double-decker buses, telephone booths, Big Ben, Palaces. This was heaven already.
