Haechan sat beside Zhi Ping, looking up to the sky, reminiscing all the memories he experienced from the past. He felt both happy and sad knowing that everything he went through until now is just as similar as a hallucination, or perhaps a nightmare.
All the stories they made until now ever since they stepped their feet in this other dimension, and shifting abilities he earned would be gone and won't be remembered once he returned to the real world.
"Zhi Ping, have you maybe once thought about your life after successfully getting out of here?" Zhi Ping hummed and seemed to be deep in thoughts when his laugh distracted her. Haechan smiled, "No need to think too hard, it's a pretty simple question you know."
"What do you mean?" Zhi Ping crossed both of her feet and laid her head on his shoulders. Comfortable. That's what she feel, everytime she does this. Zhi Ping traced the shape of the clouds using her index finger. "I haven't thought anything about that. But I guess, if we really lost our memories here and the ones we had before ever since we were born as a human. Then, let it be loss and make greater memories in the future. Am I right?"
Haechan nodded. The rest of the day was spent perfectly fine. Haechan decided to practice his shifting skills better, meanwhile Zhi Ping kept an eye and took great care of Haera. After making sure Haera is well asleep, she laid on her bed and closed her eyes. "I hope we stay like this forever, Haechan."
The sun began to set, illuminating the orange-yellowish sky. Looking at how beautiful the sight is, Zhi Ping woke up from her quick nap and brought Haera with her outside.
"Nice meeting you again perhaps." Melissa, the queen of fire, smiled, which Zhi Ping immediately knew it was all fake and planned.
"What do you want?" Zhi Ping brought Haera closer to her and was about to shift fire when she was interrupted by Melissa yet again. "Calm down honey, I'm here to see your condition. It would be nice for you to return Haera to me before the end of the day. How about now?"
Zhi Ping laughed and rolled her eyes, "After throwing her away further from you, now you want the baby back? I'm sorry isn't that simpleminded and irresponsible. I don't even know how they elected you to lead this stupid world after all."
Melissa came closer to Zhi Ping step by step, and while Zhi Ping was focusing on something else, she grabbed her by the neck using one of her abilities, making Zhi Ping grasped for air. "P-Put me down, old granny."
Melissa glared at her, not letting her go, until Haechan came. He was late, however. Zhi Ping dropped down, laid near the fountain unconscious. Haechan thought for a second and immediately healed Zhi Ping, using his main ability. Zhi Ping began regaining herself, "Step out of the way."
Melissa hissed before walking pass both of them, Haera now safely asleep in Haechan's arms. "Are you okay?" Seeing Haechan's worried face made her smile, "Relax, I'm okay. Thank you." Haechan closed his eyes, relieved and brought her up.
They walked back to their room, and decided to clean themselves up. "Haechan, how 'bout mac and cheese for dinner? But apparently it's packaged. I'm afraid it's not edible anymore."
"Try first." Zhi Ping opened the package, and found out it was at good condition before heating it up on the microwave. She sighed at how her current state of life, but nonetheless didn't complain. She believed as long as there is someone, or more precisely Haechan by her side, she would be able to pull through anything together.
After finished eating, both of them cleared the table before jumping immediately on the bed. "Tired." Haechan agreed, her arms found their way to his waist, wrapping him closely to her. Haechan felt his heart beating faster than before but try to keep it at a normal pace, caressing her hair softly.
"We got each other, right?" Haechan used his right hand as a pillow, letting Zhi Ping wrap herself to him for warmth.
"Mhm." Zhi Ping hummed, smiling while closing her eyes. "Seems like my baby is tired, get some rest. Tomorrow's gonna be a busier day." Zhi Ping didn't really understand what he meant but reassuring it's nothing really big, she decided to let it go and sleep.
After he made sure she was asleep, Haechan wondered, "I was gonna ask you a question, but I'll keep it for tomorrow. Zhi Ping, what do you think are we? As in relationship, thoughts maybe? it would be nicer hearing from both sides you know."
Haechan smiled hearing the sounds she made while she slept, "Such a lullaby." He closed his eyes before falling into a deep slumber.
