dinner time
After hours of Jungmin convincing Zhi Ping to get down for dinner, she forced herself to get out of the room. Zhi Ping put on an oversized hoodie and grabbed her phone, she doesn't even feel like using makeup. She was just too exhausted, if it weren't for her friend she wouldn't even bother get out of bed. They took the elevator and arrived at the reserved place for dinner that night.
"So where are we sitting ?" Jungmin asked. Zhi Ping pointed at the table near the window so they could feel the breeze and have a sight of such wonderful view, but unfortunately a voice interrupted them before she could even answer. "Jungmin here !" Jeno pointed to the place the boys reserved as soon as they arrived from the museum that evening. Jungmin glanced at Zhi Ping before she could decided and once she saw Zhi Ping's face, she feels uneasy but Zhi Ping insisted and nodded, allowing her to sit with them. She doesn't have the right to force or to not allow her friends to eat with anyone she wants, right ? "Go with them, I'll just go sit there by the balcony." Jungmin pouted and sadly look at her friend who's been a mess these days. "But Ping-ya I-". Zhi Ping held Jungmin's wrist, "It's fine, go ! I have no right to lock you, socialize girl."
Zhi Ping forcefully smiled even if she was on a very bad state. "I'll go to you as soon as I'm done eating, promise." Zhi Ping nodded and walked away as far as possible, she just wants to stay away from him as distant as possible. She can't even process what happened the last few days, after Haechan comforted her that night, now he broke her to an even worst state. What is wrong with him ?
As it was getting late, the weather is also becoming colder and the soft cool air hit Zhi Ping's air softly and now there were only 3 to 5 students left excluding the Dreamies and the two girls, Jungmin and Zhi Ping. Zhi Ping really wanted to go there and have a talk with them, discuss about her problems, about her mental state, but her mind says otherwise. She continued to eat her fruits, before she felt a presence, a very recognizable one, in front of her.
"Zhi Ping." His soft voice really calmed her down. Zhi Ping hummed without looking at that person, she can't. Seeing him in person would really make her weaker at this point as she thought Haechan was the person she could trust the most and the moment she starts to open up about herself, he declined it, as if I was just going to make his life harder. "Talk to me, I'm always here." Haechan held both of Zhi Ping's hand softly and caress it, making Zhi Ping feels warm inside and it really does make her feel warmth and comfort from his presence itself. But, no, she doesn't want to be tricked by his game again, or whatever his idea is, "I don't think it's the right time now."
Haechan knew what's on her mind, he paid attention to her quietly without her knowing, without her consent, because he just did something that was really stupid and it hurts. But he would do anything to keep her safe. Haechan flashed a warm smile and looked at Zhi Ping even if she wasn't looking at him back. Still holding her hand, he comforted her slowly and even sang her a song,

And matching up to is getting bigger
It makes me feel an emptiness somehow

"It's fine if you don't want to, I'm not gonna force you. Take your time and allow yourself to rest, love yourself and you understand yourself more than other people do. But there's just this one thing I want you to know, I would always think of you first more than anyone else and I'm going to protect and take care of you, no matter what." Haechan pat her head softly before leaving her once again feeling sad and confused with her own self. Zhi Ping really wants to hug him tight for a long time while telling him all about what she feels, her feelings and how him alone here made her feel safe and happy, but her mind and heart was debating, and once again she missed the opportunity.
