2 months later

Zhi Ping was walking on the way to the nearest supermarket to get her daily needs. December has come, the weather goes up and down drastically, snowflakes started falling from the cold dark sky. Parades light up the sideways and the scent of almond cookies consumed the air. Children chase one after another for gingerbread cookies. Christmas carols brighten up the christmas mood and a family was building snowman outside their houses. Zhi Ping smiled and continued walking until she reached to her destination, how she wish her family was once again here.

She walked inside and to her surprise it wasn't as crowded as she think it would. Only a group of teenagers buying foods and beverages for a sleepover and a small girl reading a book near the window. She looked around to get her essentials and went to the 'special christmas' section. It was filled with christmas decorations, gingerbread cookies, and stockings. She really wanted to buy a jar of cookies for herself but it's weird to eat it by herself so she decided to go straight to the cashier. After purchasing, she exited the shop and walked back to her apartment to bake herself some brownies. But, what made her stop is that she saw a very familiar boy, around her age, standing outside a telephone booth. She walked towards it a little closer and after minutes she went there and, it was Haechan. The boy who she loved two months ago, the person she would enjoy spending time with and who always encourages her to look at the positive side, now standing just a few meters from where she was standing. Zhi Ping was actually hesitant to step closer and her final decision is just to go straight back home.

Winter break has ended, and classes will start in 2 days. Renjun invited her to his house to spend the new years together, with his family and the dreamies. He knew that Zhi Ping must've been alone and can't really spend her christmas and new years with anyone, Zhi Ping accepted it right away.

They played fireworks and had a blast during dinner. After those two months, they could finally get back together and spend time with all of them complete, Jungmin and the 6 Dreamies. Zhi Ping once in a while would lock her eyes on Haechan and she was upset, the thing she was afraid the most came back. Haechan being back to an introvert and with his unpredictable cold attitude. She really misses his playful jokes and cheerful side, but she should understand that he has grown up and the accident really made a big impact on him. So with that, she continued to play UNO with Jeno, Chenle and Renjun. While Jisung and Jaemin was upstairs, Haechan just sat near the fireplace scrolling through his feed. Neither Zhi Ping or the Dreamies knew that he was gaining his power near the fireplace and that he was keeping an eye on  Zhi Ping all this time.

"Haechan dear wake up." Haechan woke up on a field of sunflowers, which soon burned out and now he was circled by fire. He saw a woman around her fifties approaching him, which made him back up a bit and his hand was burnt a little by the fire behind him. "W-who a-are you ? Why am I h-here ?" The woman, more accurately the daughter of the queen of fire laughed and pointed her stick at Haechan and he flinched slightly. All he can do is just stay still and keep his mouth shut for the time being.

"Hyuck, still the same cutiepie since years ago. Let me just explain to you a little." On that time, the fire has now vanished and a chair appeared which he sat on. "You sure know me right ? Winter, daughter of the queen of fire. Don't tell me you don't recognise me, I was in your dreams multiple times. Now you should remember." She talked as she walked side to side still holding her stick firmly. "You're body's dead, but your soul's isn't. You still have a big chance to stay alive and live normally as a human again or just die. But if you chose to live again with her and your group of friends, you should make a promise with me. And if ever you didn't keep your promise, then the girl you loved the most on earth will die on my hands, in front of your eyes."

 Haechan gasped and was in a state of shock but before he could ask, she continued talking. "One more thing, you'll inherit powers, fire element. Now it's your decision and I'm definitely not forcing you. Stay alive, inherit the power of fire and keep my promise or die now, right this second. To make your choice easier, here I'll show you how she's been." Winter grabbed a mirror from her pocket and hand it in to Haechan. "Tell the mirror who you want to see."

Haechan grabbed the mirror and tapped it, and it lit. Golden sparkles started to spring out, he took a deep breath and continued, "I wanted to see Zhi Ping, Huang Zhi Ping." The mirror flashed a bright hue of golden and it showed a girl around Haechan's age lying beside his hospital bed, sleeping with her eyes closed but showed how much she cried everyday. Haechan suddenly felt weak, his heart crushed into a million pieces. Seeing the girl she loved and cared for the most, waiting him for months having no sign of him waking up. 

Winter retracted back her mirror inside her pocket. "So ? Don't worry, when you come back down there, you'll be back home just as usual and your girl will also be at her home. The memories of you getting into an accident will be erased from her memory." Haechan made his decision and nodded, "So what's the promise ?" Winter smirked and an she evil laughed.

"It isn't hard my Hyuck, on the next Christmas, bring her to me and I'll make her inherit my powers. I can't inherit all the queen's powers, it's too strong and a person who doesn't have a royal blood can inherit it, she's the one. Trust me, it would just hurt, a little." Winter smirked and warned him one last thing. "remember. If you break the promise, I would destroy her right in front of your eyes."
