"Excuse me, are you Zhi Ping?" Zhi Ping turned back to see a boy with light brown hair and a rather comfortable attire. "Yes, and who are you?" Zhi Ping tried her best to be as friendly as possible, but it just wouldn't let her, but the point is she never met this person, or rather this boy but he possibly knows her name. "Oh, hi my name's Jake ! Nice to meet you, I'm here going to be your cashier mate." He reach out to shake hands.

"Nice to meet you too Jake." Zhi Ping smiled. The rest of her time working went completely fine and she was thankful that she wasn't the only cashier and there's someone lending her a hand. After having a busy day and now it was time to close the shop, they put up the chairs and moved the tables aside and once they're done, Jake approached Zhi Ping. Knowing someone's present by her side, "Yes?"

"Mind companying me to the nearby book store? I just need to buy a new notebook. I'll walk you home." Zhi Ping hesitates at first then agreed as she's going to be new stationaries as well. On the way there, mostly silence consumed the air and sometimes Jake would try his best to open up and start a conversation but Zhi Ping would always answer it shortly as if she isn't interested in talking and sharing her thoughts. By that, Jake also stopped talking and just get back to their original plan. They finished shopping their needs and Jake walked her home and make sure she's safe. "Thanks Jake."

Jake flashed his bright smile. "You're welcome !" Before Zhi Ping entered inside the lobby, Jake wished her to have a good night and that's how her Monday ended, weirdly. What Jake didn't notice is that Zhi Ping was actually paying attention to him as he walked further from her apartment and disappeared in the cold dim nights.

"Zhi Ping, hey !" Haechan called her from the other side of the corridor, it's just been early morning and Haechan is already so energetic as if his energy was fully recharged. Zhi Ping waved at him and Haechan ran towards her. "Wanna hangout today? I'll bring Luna with me, if it's fine with you." Zhi Ping stopped taking her physics book then looked at him, "Definitely, I'll bring my friend too if you don't mind." Haechan nodded, "Okay I'll pick you up at 7 tomorrow !" Zhi Ping lifted her lips, "Aremdaun Café, SM street 28." After Haechan got inside his class, she closed her lockers and as she was going to her class, she felt her heart winced, but she needs to fight her feelings and keep it for herself. She doesn't want their beautiful, or is it, friendship to be broken, like what happened a few months ago. It was a terrible experience to get with once, and she doesn't want it to ever get to her ever.

Zhi Ping came on time and took her shift right away so she wouldn't stay back too late as she made a promise with Haechan today. Right after Zhi Ping finished her shift, she changed her clothes to a more fancy one, put on light makeup and asked Jake if he wanted to come hangout with her friends. "I'm afraid I'll..." Jake scratched the back of his head and smiled awkwardly. "No, don't worry. You know even if we're not that close yet, I'm pretty sure we'll have a great time ! Meet my friends, they're nice I promise." Jake definitely can't reject this invitation so he agreed, "Okay..." Zhi Ping excitedly jump and hugged Jake. "Great !" Jake felt his cheeks heat up and remained silent afterwards, and it turned into a slight smirk instead. "Let's go."
