Zhi Ping spent her decent weekend staying at home, not even bothered to go outside. She sat at her not-so-big living room and stared at the picture hanging on the wall, a picture of her parents and Zhi Ping smiling so widely in front of the underwater aquarium she visited a few years ago. It's been months since she last contacted her parents, knowing that they're probably busy. She scrolled through her phone and sighed, nothing to do but neither did she wants to even get out of the sofa.
After taking a short nap, she decided to take a shower and wash away all the stress that's been catching her up and bothering her lately. All the thoughts and words that her friends said really made her confused, not knowing what's true or false.
She rubbed her temples feeling her head ached a little by everything that happened these past days. Just at that time, the tattoo on her hand glowed a little making her gasp and look down at it. It doesn't grow bigger like what it used to, but it glows now. It really does seem like she's dreaming as to why a tattoo will grow on her wrist without any consent and now it glows. How wonderful.
Zhi Ping sat properly on her make up chair and rubbed the sign slowly, but nothing happens. Thankfully the pain that usually stings her doesn't happen this weekend, so at least she can get enough amount of sleep.
The next day, which is Sunday, the day where usually there would be a family gathering going on or maybe go on dates, but she's just there still on her bed covering her toes until up her face with the duvet. Her phone rang and it was from Jungmin. Jungmin asked her to accompany her going to a bar. She wordlessly declined and rejected the invitation without even thinking. The bar is probably the place she wants to go to least. She can imagine the number of people who's drunk and girls using a mini skirt to seduce men. What a painful and disgusting sight to see, she thought.
In the end, she decided to go for a walk outside just to refresh her mind. The streets feels so empty and cold, only streetlights as the source of heat to drag her feet down the 'un'lively street. Out of nowhere, she saw a guy with all black approach her and she quickly got on her feet and turned back to walk but no, she's late.
He grabbed her wrist forcefully forcing her to scream agony in pain as she watched her wrist suddenly oozing with blood. Tears started falling harshly from her eyes as the pain from the tattoo joined in to cause her even more pain. The guy in all black brought his hand up her face, "I want you in my bed tonight." Zhi Ping can only shake her head while her tears still uncontrollably fell from her eyes down her cheeks. She was irritated, disgusted and weak, also stupid. Yes, in this particular moment she felt weak, not even brave enough to just yeet his hand and kick him in the ass. But that's not gonna happen.
Haechan who was walking on the opposite of the street looked at what happened on the other side and quickly ran but a car came dashing forward which results to crashing him, and with that Haechan fell unconscious.
Zhi Ping looked at how crowds of people started to gather at the end of the street and it made her yeet his hand harshly and kicked him on his face. For who doesn't know, she did ever spent a year on learning taekwondo. She made sure he was already lying on the floor before seeing a nightmare struck her at the same night.
Haechan was brought to the nearest hospital and Zhi Ping immediately took a taxi and went to see how Haechan would be. She arrived at the hospital and asked the information center. "Do you know the room of Lee Haechan ?" Zhi Ping tapped her fingers impatient. "You mean Mr Lee ?" Zhi Ping nodded and the woman there types something on her computer before answering, "127."
Zhi Ping thanked the woman and rushed to the elevator up to floor 1. Once she got infront of his room, she hesitated before finally opening the door knob revealing his parents and Luna already by his side waiting for him to wake up. "Sorry to interrupt I-" Haechan's mom quickly got up from her seat and caressed her hand softly before they exited the room.
Zhi Ping hovered her eyes and saw all the infusion tubes and she can't help the tears that sprung from her eyes. She can't bear seeing such a painful sight, and Haechan can only lie down eyes closed with nothing he can do. Zhi Ping carefully walked to the side of his bed and sat on the chair that was once filled by his parents.
She closed her eyes for a moment then attentively carried his hand and brought it close to her heart. "You know how much you means to me right ? You know you're my world and I love you right ? Haechan you knew that don't you. I know and trust you that you won't leave me like this, please wake up. I l-love y-you." She ended the sentence before tears fell uncontrollably once again. She put his hand down and lay her head near his hand that was placed up his chest. "I love you." Zhi Ping then fell asleep without knowing.

"Mrs I need to check the patient up first please wake up." The nurse carefully tapped her shoulder. She barely woke up, her eyes forcefully opening up. She noticed the nurse already standing there with lots of essentials on her side and without asking she went out of his room. She sat and waited for it to be finished.
Right after the nurse went out, Zhi Ping rushed inside to see him still on the same position, laying down with his eyes shut. She doesn't know why, but she also felt hurt and in pain seeing him like that for the past few weeks already. After going to university, she would finish her part-time job, trying her best to avoid Jake as she remembered what Haechan and Renjun said, and finally would tiredly walk to the hospital to visit him, Haechan.
Days after weeks past. Still no sign of him moving or anything, barely none. Only the heartbeat tracker from the machine and silence filled the room. Luna would come once a week as well as him parents. She knew they had other important things to manage, but she couldn't let Haechan be lying soullessly alone. Not for her. While she was eating her fruits, Haechan's hand lifted up a bit, but unfortunately Zhi Ping didn't see that and his hand went back down before his body didn't move at all again.
