"Hyuck, she wants to meet us." Zhi Ping grabbed a glass of milk and drank it for her breakfast. After finishing up the sandwich Haechan made for her, she got ready and told Haechan but Melissa, again.
"She's gonna mess up with us again." Haechan slightly pouted and wore his jacket to warm himself up from the cold weather. Lately, the climate changes drastically, forcing them to wear a coat to protect themselves from the harsh situation outside the castle.
Zhi Ping genuinely smiled before bringing Haera carefully. She nodded slightly before going outside their room. Haechan has no choice but to follow for the time being. They walked past the guards and maids working inside the castle.
They all seem, tired. Extremely tired. But what makes them so tired, as if they didn't get sleep at all for the past days, or maybe even weeks?
Melissa coughed before standing up from her throne, two guards on each sides, and a transparent-looking black mamba behind her neck, as if guarding her from dangers and harm. "Oh, you're both here." Melissa smiled, Zhi Ping rolled her eyes at all the acting before speaking up.
"I'm sorry, we ain't go much time." Zhi Ping snickered, followed by Haechan who was beside her. Tapping his foot, impatiently waiting for Melissa, the queen, to speak up what she wanted to say. She hummed, "I'm stepping back. Doesn't mean both of you or anyone could come up the throne and take over. Never. I want you both to get me this potion, called Esmerelda, from an old women living across the city. If you were able to get that, I'll let you go. With one condition, leave Haera behind."
"Wha-"
"If that's what you want, then we'll do it."
"Hyuck-"
"We'll go search for it, immediately." Haechan dragged Zhi Ping outside the hall and into their room. Zhi Ping carefully put Haera on her bed, and crossed her arms. "Acting all you want, not caring and hearing about my decisions first, and hurting my feelings, again Hyuck?"
Haechan looked down and sat beside her, he took her hand on his and caressed it slowly. "To win, to succeed, to be able to survive, we have to let things go and let it flow as it's destined. You can't force something that's planned. Understand okay? I know you know what I mean."
Zhi Ping positioned herself, getting ready to sleep. Without answering his sentence, pulling the blankets up her face, and facing the wall instead. She can't help but hold her feelings for the time, and understood Haechan's words are all genuine and is the only choice they have for now. She sobbed, and tried hard to close her eyes.
"Sleep tight, don't dream." Not knowing Zhi Ping's still awake, he caressed her hair and tidied it up before softly giving a kiss on her forehead. "I love you, and I want you to know that, badly."
