Zhi Ping woke up and found herself laying in the same room as the incident last time. She looked around every corner of the room and realized that she was surrounded by a wave of nostalgia. Pictures and letters she sent to her mom everyday since she came here, along with childhood pictures of her was all she could see.
Rather than being downhearted about it, she slowly got up the bed and walked out of the room, feeling goosebumps down her skin and decided to go through the halls of the palace. She doesn't know where she was going, but followed her guts, leading her to a locked room with lightning curse on the door to protect it.
"What is this again?" She asked herself, and tried to open the door, but was struck by the lightning instead, not feeling herself but tried again. There's no point in trying, she thought. So she find her way back to her room. "Haechan?"
She called, but unfortunately, all she could hear is the sound of birds chirping and souls walking back and forth outside the window. She put on a coat, to seek warmth from it and jogged outside. She hummed along, enjoying the cool breeze hitting her face until she saw Haechan leaning on a tree.
"Is that you?" Haechan who was sleeping suddenly heard her whisper in his ears and jumped up, not believing what he just heard. "Wait, where have you been? You know that I miss you so much and I'm worried." Haechan kissed the nape of her neck, sending shivers down her spine. "Chill down man."
"Hey I'm not a man." Zhi Ping rolled her eyes, and sat on a bench, enjoying the scenery and atmosphere she was experiencing and witnessing in this moment. "You know Haechan, when I fell asleep and woke up after that long rest. I felt dumb. I realized that the answers to all our questions are just right in front of our eyes, but we didn't seek for it, we waited for it to come to use. I understood, this place is a game, it requires our brain and teamwork to win. If we keep complaining and questioning stupid questions, then the answer would be gone."
"What do you mean?" Haechan asked sincerely, not fully understanding what she meant.
"We love each other, we are destined to be with each other, and they understood what we meant. Yet, we were naive and got ourselves to walk different paths, separating each other only because of ourselves."
Haechan gasped and held her wrist, "You don't mean," Zhi Ping nodded, "Remember how we got here? What and who got us here?" Haechan was on his knees, fear growing inside him yet he still wanted to deny the truth.
"We're in the process of transforming and healing. Transforming to find and be our true self, to heal each other's pain and sacrifices, along with scars, suffer and torment we went through all this time. We needed each other, to heal and be stronger for each other. Now, the one point we need to do is to find a way out of this mess."
Haechan intertwined their hands together, "I'll make sure of that." He kissed her forehead and caressed it softly before they enjoy the leisure time they have left before fighting hard the next day.
"Haechan, what's you're first impression when you met me?"
"Oh, that's too much. Well, straightforward and has similar attitude with me."
"Only those? Nothing else, come on."
"I don't know, maybe you're different."
"I knew that, and I always am."
"Now my turn, how about me?" Haechan embraced her, giving her warmth on this cold night.
"Similar to your answer, this guy, He's different. Not to say you're attractive, but well that goes in."
Haechan was quite satisfied with the answer, and brought her closer to him, "I love you."
"I love me too."
Zhi Ping laid her head on his chest, "This is going to end soon. Everything will end soon, and we can live together happily right?"
"Yes." Haechan replied a little too enthusiastic, 'I hope.'
