1: The Interview

   "Elise, you're the one assigned to the vampire case." Upon hearing those words from her boss, Elise accidentally spat out her drink.

   "I'm what?!" She exclaimed.

   "...Assigned to the vampire case." her boss simply answered.

   "B-But, why me? Why?" She asked, as she turned to her boss, eyebrows knitted in shock.

   "Because, you're the one who's good at English here."

   "I agree." Soonyoung, Elise's colleague/friend, spoke, as she glared at him. Seungcheol and Elise sat on their spot in the pantry with a cup of coffee, while Soonyoung stood at the counter table to get his.

   "B-But th-there are other b-better journalist th-than me." Elise stuttered. Fearing that she might get eaten by a vampire the moment she steps into that place.

   "Yes, I agree, but you're the best."

   "Mr. Choi!" Elise whined to his boss.

   "but there's Joshua! He could speak English! You can just assign him to that!" She exclaimed.

   "No, not him. I'm sending him to L.A, so he could get the interview with Mr. Wisconsin." Seungcheol, her boss, responded, as he took a sip of his coffee.

   "Th-There's Vernon-"

   "No, I'm sending him to Philippines, so he could cover a documentary there." Elise's shoulders hung low, knowing that she ran out of excuses.

   "You should get the interview with that monsieur ASAP before he could even make you his dinner." Soonyoung teased which made Seungcheol laugh.

   "Shut up," Elise rolled her eyes at her colleague who just laughed with his boss.

   "Anyway, how long will I be staying there?"

   "One week."

   "One week?!"

   And, that is how Elise Choi ended up being in the airport of Paris, France. She sat on one of the waiting area seats, clutching her luggage with her, as she waited for her chauffer to come.

   It is the year 2020, war between vampires and humans have ended a decade ago. The two beings chose to make a truce, or much more like a deal. If one of them hurts an opposite kind, war is inevitable.

   It is also not allowed to make the immortal a mortal, and vice versa. However, if the being wants to convert to the opposite kind, then that is acceptable since there is consent.

  It's been a decade since everything happened, yet those blood-sucking creatures still terrifies me. - Elise thought to herself, as she sat there, waiting patiently.

   Although, the war have ended, and vampires are now allowed to go with no incognito. Some are quite bold confident in walking around, but majority of the beings still wants to live in the dark.

   There is still a lot of mystery to uncover within the vampire world which is why the infamous news company in Seoul have sent Elise to settle an interview with one of the most long living monsieur.

   "Excuse me, Are you Elise Choi?" A man in a suit asked, which startled Elise.

   "Ah yes, that's me." Elise responded.
