"Oh. Wow." Janie said in a tiny voice.

"There is no pressure, but being upfront is my way, and I am more upfront now than I ever was before. I am telling you that I am interested in renewing and updating our relationship. It can stop there. This proposal changes nothing about any plans we have discussed. This is personal, between you and me. Think upon it, but if you are inclined to say yes, also consider how it might affect your relationship with Mike."

"I'm in. Yes. Whatever." Janie said.

"That is not much consideration." Morgan admonished.

"Lady: You are the only woman I have ever, and I do mean EVER, taken to bed. There is a reason for that. It is not for lack of offers. Gettin' back with you? I'm in. Simple as that." Janie somewhat fervently told her.

"I see. Well: Details to be determined." Morgan pivoted her eyes to Paul's father. "Mike. Will it anger you if Janie and I re-institute our former and never really concluded relationship?"

Mike looked like a Siren snuck up and tasered him. I know what that is like. In my case, it was real Sirens and real tasers.

Morgan waited patiently.

"Ummm..." Mike started. Stopped.

In the same way, Morgan looked at Mike, Janie changed her attention to me. She ignored Mike's reaction and sudden inability to speak sentences. "Adrian? Are you interested in a threesome sometime? Morgan said we are updating. A threesome would be an interesting update for me, personally. I am kind of curious about the man that landed Morgan..."

It was not evil, or mean to Mike. She sounded exactly as she said: Curious.

That is mutual curiosity. Be with Morgan's first-ever woman lover? The woman that tempted Morgan? "I am of course honored, assuming Helen and Jessica agree." I told her.

"Fine with me." Helen said. Something about the way she said that told me she is wondering about Morgan's first too.

Janie went bouncing on down the road in her enthusiasm for Morgan's proposal. "Can we do the Jacuzzi and the shower and each other's hair and everything? The whole thing? What you do all the time? Can I feel that? Be part of it?"

Morgan liked Janie's response to her idea. I think the fact that it was more than a pure sexual response mattered too. It was 'I want it all' not 'let's screw'. "Absolutely, Janie. I would not cheat you out of the new things I have learned and can bring to the relationship."

"We are so on! Is it redundant given my job that I suddenly want to dance? I can't wait!" Janie seemed to be resisting the urge to spin in place. As a dancer, I am sure she can.

Morgan paused with obvious caution and a survey of Mike. Janie caught the regard and filled it in for her. "Morgan my sweet: If Mike wanted to have an opinion about this, he would have had to marry me, and he didn't. Even then, it would only be an opinion, not an edict from on high. I am my own person, and what you and I do together is between you and me. Also: I am getting my hair done and doing yours, so Mike gets no say about it. Too bad too sad. You are mine! On loan, of course."

With Janie laying down of the law on Mike, I heard some of what made Janie Morgan's first. A self-confident and enthusiastic statement, not an insult to Mike. Janie staking out the ground rules of the relationship from her point of view. You want an opinion on who I sleep with? You gotta make a commitment, otherwise be still. Hearing it, I got a mental picture of how Janie probably dances with that kind of confidence. I updated my mental picture of her slightly. I was feeling bad for her, what with Mike's girlfriends, but she obviously spending more time devoted to Paul and other parts of her life than romance. I hear now that this was a choice she made. She did not want just anything or anyone. It is not Janie being a victim so much as living by her own set of rules.
