Later, after getting the team list, I went up to the Crew office to tell Luciana what I thought about her idea.
"Luciana? I really hate you." I said insincerely.
She had looked up from her desk. "What?" not having a clue what I was unhappy about. Victoria did not tell her.
"You suck." I said.
"Usually no complaints. Not that the humans remember." Luciana said. "What's your beef?"
"Baseball." I said.
"Still not getting it."
"Victoria is forcing me to play it." I said.
"Forcing...? Why?" Luciana was honestly puzzled.
"She hates me?" I guessed. "Take me off the team, coach!"
"You are so weird sometimes. Go away." Luciana said and went back to work.
Oh well. It had been worth a try.
