You were sitting on your bed getting ready for what was supposed to be an easy expedition. You sat up about to leave when the door burst open.

"Y/N I need your help!" said an energetic Hange

"Hange love, you know I can't."

Hange looked at you confused, the realization hit her as she made an oh face.

You walked over to Hange giggling at their pouty face. You pulled them into a hug.

"Walk me to the stables?" You asked, pulling away from the hug.

Hange nodded, and pulled you out of the room and to the stables.

You both walked into the stables hands intertwined, as Hange talked about the experiment they wanted to do with you when you got back.

"Shitty four eyes we are leaving." Levi said getting annoyed.

You gave Hange a kiss, and climbed onto your horse.

"See you in like a week Hange!" You said riding away.

" Bye, Y/N!"Hange called out waving

(2 Days Later)

Hange knew you weren't supposed to be back for a few more days but they couldn't help but worry.

They were working to keep their mind off of you, but it wasn't working. Hange heard the door open, and Moblit walked.

"Hange they're back." He said slightly out of breath.

"Really already? Who told you?" Hange asked, jumping up.

"A cadet who saw them."

Hange grabbed a small box.

"What's that Hange?" Moblit asked

Hange smiled, and opened it. Inside the box was a simple yet beautiful ring.

Moblit smiled at Hange, "Well you better get going."

Hange immediately ran out the door, and to where you should be.

Hange walked outside but their smile faltered. People were being helped off their horses, and carried to the infirmary.

"Levi, where is Y/N?" Hange asked, gripping the box.

He got off his horse, and handed Hange a bloody cloak.

"Here."

Hange grabbed the cloak, and searched for a label.

The label read Y/N, L/N.
