Pain spread through my back as I was thrown to the ground for what seemed to be the hundredth time. I let out a low groan and a few curses under my breath as I slowly got up.
"That sucked."
"I know I know you don't have to tell me Annie." I sighed.
"You seem in your own world are you okay?"
I shrugged and got up. In all reality I had been in my own confusing stressful world. Feelings are a confusing thing aren't they? Even when you have feelings for people and couldn't choose. They didn't like me anyways so it doesn't matter.
"Let's go again" I said, getting into a stance.
Seconds later I had gotten distracted by the way Annie moved, the way the sun hit her hair and shined. The blue of her eyes pierced me and made me feel warm in my core.
"I think that's enough"
That didn't sound like Annie.
I looked up, opened my eyes and saw Mikasa. My face flushed, a light breeze moving her dark hair, and her eyes glaring at Annie, but still holding concern. She made me feel the same as Annie did. Now that's my problem. I loved two beautiful and powerful women who would never notice me like I do them.
"I'm fine" I said, getting up biting my cheek fighting my inner and outer conflicts.
"You should have gone easy on them." Mikasa said in a monotone voice.
"Y/N said they were fine" Annie said with the same tone.
"Obviously not, they seemed distracted and you didn't notice." Mikasa said, her tone rising.
"I did, but they said to continue so I did."
"You still should have stopped and gave them a break."
"They can handle themselves Mikasa."
"I know that, but people still need breaks after being repeatedly thrown to the ground, Y/N could be injured right now!"
Annie's eyes flickered to me, Mikasa, then back at me. Her eyes didn't hold the normal stone cold glare; it held warmth, and worry. My heart felt like it was going to burst through my chest. What was even going on?
"I'm sorry I should have given you a rest Y/N."
Did Annie just apologize?
"It,uh it's fine really." I said, trying to keep my voice steady.
"We could take you to the infirmary if you want." Mikasa suggested.
'We' both of them?
"No, I'll be fine.. The worst that will happen is a sore back tomorrow." I said, chuckling my stomach in knots with anxiety.
