"Look there's Connie!" Sasha said, relieved.
Connie entered the air ship with a small huff, "Jean is on his way" He said out of breath.
"Nice to see you're okay baldy" I smiled, punching his arm.
"I have hair, see" He pointed at his head.
"Ah yes, you have a little."
He rolled his eyes and looked out the door. "There's Jean!"
When Jean reached the door we all reached out our hands, "Jean grab on"
He all gave us a small as we pulled him up. We all smiled at each other taking in that we had all made it back. Connie pulled us into a hug.
"Anyways, I'm just glad we survived again. It's not fair to the others, but you guys are special...to me."
I looked at Sasha giving her a small smile. She returned it, putting her forehead against mine.
"That hurts, idiot. Don't hug us wearing hard ass gear"
"Excuse me Jean?! You're the idiot for always fussing over your tiny ass beard!"
"Huh"
"That's right! Why grow a beard if you can't eat it?" Sasha joked looking over.
"Huh?!"
"Say, are we eating soon?"
"Not till we reach the island"
"What a useless leader you are" Sasha scoffed.
"Sasha?"
"Hm?"
"Lets go over where everyone else is" I laughed holding out my hand.
"M'okay" She smiled, grabbing onto my hand and intertwining our fingers.
We walked over to the group as they cheered and celebrated. Sasha stood in front of me and engulfed me in a hug.
"What's this for?" I asked.
"I'm just really glad you're safe."
I smiled, returning her bone crushing hug. Her smell was tinted with ash and smoke, but under that was the familiar scent of Sasha. I heard a low thud, and let go of Sasha holding her at arm's length.
