I laid on my bed wrapped in the blanket scrolling through my phone mindlessly. Ever since the pandemic started there had been nothing much to do. Stores were closed, anything fun was cancelled. I had found new hobbies, started finding myself, but now that the new things had been washed away with excitement, I stayed in bed scrolling through my phone. I had binged many shows, finished them, read many books and finished them. The one app I haven't opened was the dating app Sasha, and Historia had downloaded. In their words it would be good for me to get to know new people. To date.
I groaned, flipping over facing the window. Maybe it wouldn't be so bad. I opened the app and found I had an account already. I laughed, those two were so nosy. I looked through all the people finding myself slipping my hours away with it.
"No, no, no, no, no, no, no" I muttered. I sighed all these people weren't my type, or they seemed...gross. I stopped at one, the person caughting my eye. They were a handsome blonde, my stomach getting a few butterflies.
"Yes" I chuckled at my flustered state.
I looked at the time, it was near dinner so I decided to make myself something. I plugged my phone in and walked to the kitchen and grabbed all the ingredients for fettuccine Alfredo.
Once all the ingredients and noodles were mixed together I grabbed a bowl and went back to my room to grab my phone. I saw two notifications from the dating app. I had a match with someone... It was the handsome blonde Yelena.
She had texted a simple hello and a winking face. I giggled like a schoolgirl when I saw it. I texted a simple 'hey! how are you?'
I set my phone down for a second and went to take a bite, when my phone buzzed.
'Good, how about you ;)'
I snickered.

I squealed, kicking my feet back and forth, my face hot. My dinner was finished and I felt happy, excited. I washed my dish, and jumped into bed feeling peacefully sleepy with the excitement of her texting me tomorrow in my mind.

It had been a year since Yelena and I matched. We facetimed each other for the first time four months after meeting. It was amazing, her voice was comforting and she was very attractive. She would call me every morning, and I would call her when I got back from school, and work.
She was kind, noble, sweet and very caring. I liked her so much, and I couldn't wait to see her. I had booked a plane ticket to Paris France with the help of Yelena of course. And I was on the plane now. My stomach turned with anxiety. I was nervous to see her, excited. However, what if she didn't like me as a person?
The plan was going down, the altitude changing. My stomach churned.

I got off the plane, and found my luggage in the gate area. I opened my phone, and checked my messages.

My face flushed with heat. I quickly followed people out, and started to look for someone..tall. I knew Yelena was tall but I had never seen how tall.
I looked around my baggage by my side and my phone gripped in my hand.
My eyes stopped on a blonde, and a grin spread across my face. Yelena looked up and smiled a light blush on her cheek. I laughed and ran up to her. I dropped my luggage and jumped into her arms. Yelena's low chuckle made my stomach fill with butterflies. I ran my fingers through her hair, I had wanted to do this for so long. I wrapped my legs around her waist, my arms around her neck. Yelena's smell was intoxicating. I laughed hugging Yelena tighter, if that was even possible.
"Let me see you," Yelena chuckled. I looked at Yelena, a smile spread across my face. Yelena smiled lightly. Her eyes showed so much love, it was...amazing.
"You know...you promised me, when I saw you, you would give me a kiss" Yelena smirked.
I felt my cheeks heat up, and looked away. However, Yelena made me face her. One of her hands holding me up, the other under my chin.
"Can I kiss you?" Yelena asked.
I nodded quickly, looking at her eyes then her lips. Yelena grinned, and brought her lips onto mine.
It felt like butterflies and fireworks went off in my stomach, the only thing that mattered right now was Yelena. We separated breathing heavily.
"That was..."
"Amazing" Yelena finished caressing my cheek. "You have no idea how long I wanted to do that" Yelena breathed
We both laughed bringing our lips together again. The second time we separated Yelena kissed me on the forehead.
"Have I mentioned you are beautiful?"
I laughed, "No I don't think so."
She hummed, "Well you are, and you are in my arms, finally"
My stomach growled, making her laugh and setting me down.
"Do you remember what you were eating the night we matched?" Yelena asked.
"Uh, some kind of Alfredo?"
She nodded, "I thought we could make some"
I smiled flustered as we walked, "then what?"
"A movie, cuddling, going to sleep... whatever you want" she smiled, intertwining our fingers together.
"All of that sounds amazing" I giggled
Maybe the internet wasn't all too bad.
