"What are you talking about?" Aden asked. I felt him grasp my hand even harder.
"Remember? My dad's a cop. Think about that, bad boy," he said with a laugh. "I'm just warning that I'll get you back for fucking up my face."
I looked at Aden in surprise. His jaw tightened. "And if you get near Amethyst ever again, I'll fuck it up again."
I gasped. "Aden?!"
He didn't answer, just pushed me near the bike and grabbed the helmet. He strapped it on my head. I pushed his hands away. "What is he talking about? Bad boy? What?"
"Did you ever think that maybe he's making that shit up out of his ass?" Aden said angrily. He grabbed the helmet straps back from me. "You're not even doing it right."
"Why would he?" I asked angrily. "I'm not leaving till you tell me what's up."
"Fine, you stay here with your boyfriend and I'll leave." He turned and then turned back. "Why wouldn't he? Do you just believe him because you still have feelings for him?" Aden asked, glaring at me.
"No. He tried to....No, and he's not my boyfriend! If anything we're...." I waited for him to finish.
I laughed at my stupidity. "Wow was I dumb to think I meant anything to you." I turned to leave.
He grabbed my hand. "Amy, wait....I'm sorry."
I crossed my arms and didn't look at him. He put his hands around my stomach. "I love you. And I already told you you mean everything to me. Listen...I'll tell you. Just get on....I don't wanna leave you here with that creep."
"Oh, so if he wasn't here, you would?" I asked.
"Amy."
I sighed and grabbed the helmet. "Let's go."

We came to Aden's house faster than I expected. There was light rain coming down around us as we pulled into his driveway, I saw him hesitate. "What is it?" I asked, slinging my leg over the side over the edge of the bike.
He looked up at me slowly. "Amethyst," he said seriously.
"Full name; that's serious," I joked.
"Really, Amethyst. I'm human, you know," he said slowly. He got off of his bike. "What I'm trying to say is....I," he hunched his shoulders, then suddenly puffed out his chest. "I'm a man, you know," he said, giving me a stern look.
"Figures," I said, pushing the helmet into his chest. I walked up to the house and left him standing there, fumbling with the two helmets.
He came after me quickly. He pulled me back and turned me around. "Come on, Amy. You know what I mean. Things might...get out of control, with, you know...just us two." He looked away in an embarrassed way.
