"Lia. Wake up." I can feel my wolf resurfacing but I can't seem to stop it.

I feel tired.

The last thing I remember was seeing Salazar and then not seeing him again.

It's confusing and it makes my head hurt.

"What's happening?" I asked her.

"Salazar went into your mind and you fainted."

She knows him. I only know his name but maybe she remembers him.

"Who's Salazar?" I pried.

"You don't need to remember him. It'll just hurt you."

I should've argued with her more but the minute I tried linking her again, she was already gone and I find myself fluttering my eyes open.

There are lights but it was enough as to not blind me or something. I'm in an all-white room with one glass door and no window at all. It lacked of any furnitures and design.

Seems like a prison cell to me.

"Did the rogues got us?" I tried asking but she's not answering.

If the rogues got us, where are they?

"Jerome? Aarole? Rylie? " I called to the three of them and I hope that someone will answer me.

I didn't hear any answer.

What's happening?

I tried sitting up to have a more comfortable position and to be able to see more of the room. If I'm in the rouge's place, I should try to escape now while they aren't here.

I feel unlikely calm about the situation and it's killing me.

The glass door to my right creaked and it seems that someone is trying to get in.

I did what first come to my mind.

Pretend to sleep then attack.

My wolf stirred inside me and I can feel instant calming sensation in my body. That's the person that I can't mistake for any other.

I heard the door shut and footsteps coming towards me. I heard something screeching on the floor and I think that it's a chair because it stopped just beside the bed that I'm currently laying on.

"I know you're not sleeping Lia. Open your eyes now." I heard Riley's soothing voice and reluctantly opened my eyes.

I released a huge sige of relief while trying to sit down so I could face Riley properly.

He's looking at me with an impassive look on his face and I can feel that there's something that he needs to tell me.

"What is it?" I asked, surprised that my voice is a little croaked. Riley seems to be taken aback to and one second, I hear him mutter 'water' then a glass of water just instantly appeared in his hand.

O-kay.

"Here. Drink this." He said while giving me the glass of water and I looked at him skeptically before taking it into my hands.

I drank the contents in few gulps then gave the empty glass back to Riley.

"Thanks."

"No problem. Are you feeling alright now?" He asked and I nodded.

"Where am I and where are Jerome and Aarole?" It was my turn to ask.

"You're in my place. Those two can't protect you enough so I took you from them because it's my duty to keep you safe." He said in a cooly manner and I can feel my eyes widen in surprise.
