"Bring me back to them! Bring me back!" I growled at him once he told me that it was nice that I still know of him.

He doesn't even flinch at my growl as he stare at without any emotion crossing his face.

Know him his face.

I don't have anytime to worry about knowing him because Riley and the others might be in so much worry now.

If I will not come back soon - Riley, Jerome and Aarole might just turn the whole town upside down just to find me.

Gaaah.

"Is that what you want?"

"Don't give me that! I need to get out of... Wait what?" I asked, taken aback by Salazar's statement and unbelievable cooperation on this matter.

I felt my eyes widen and for a moment, I let my eyes linger on his brown ones with a shade of red.

"Is this what you want? Do you want me to take you back?" He repeated in a tone that seems like he's trying to say that I'll regret my decision.

But no, I'm sure that I'll never regret my decision. I just want to be with my friends and I bet on everything I have that they want me to be with them too.

My heart swell on the thoughts about my friends being horrified because they don't know where I am. I became really close to Jared and Stephen so, they must be extremely worried.

Maybe, they told the Alpha and Luna? Also Jared's father?

Oh my. I can't stand it when I can imagine their worried faces and knowing that it was me who caused it.

I need to get out of here.

"Yes." I said with finality in my tone and he sighed.

"He's not the type to give in easily, Merlia." My wolf whispetrd in my head and I mentally sighed in defeat.

"I know. But at least we have to try to tell him what we want."

I looked at the middle-aged man in a very casual attire, a blue polo and some pants that complimented his lean figure. He's rather good-looking physically but I can't say the same thing about him on the inside.

I waited expectantly for his response and I think that he can sense my eagerness for his answer because he threw me a knowing look and a smug smile.

Will I like his answer? I hope so.

"Alright princess, I will take you back in your beloved pack and friends first thing tomorrow. I can't take you now because it's already night and you need some rest." He muttered and I mentally gasp as I threw him a surprised look.

"What's the catch?" I can't help but to spit the words that I really want to say.

It seems rather suspicious that he'll  just let me out with the knowledge that he kidnapped me from my friends earlier.

Why is he letting me go when he tried his hardest to get me out of the pack's territory in the first place?

"I don't get it." My wolf said and I frown.

"Me neither."

He seemed amused with my question and I saw a smirk forming in his lips.

What in the world is going on his mind? Seriously? This is the part when I really want to be a psychic or something.

I arched my eyebrow at him to urge him to answer me and he chuckled deeply.

"There's nothing in it for me but it's more for you. You'll know who you should trust and believe in when time comes."
